razataz
I'm going to rebuild my 75g It will be a mixed reef with a mag 7 return Which pump would be better 2 Koralia evo 1050's or 2 tunze nano 6045's I have a koralia 4 I can put on the back wall. I was going with the evo's at first because they were cheap and can be put on a timer. Now I can get the tunze for the same price. Please no Vortech suggestions
+mcallahan
Tunze all the way. No comparison there. Better quality, wider range of motion. I have a used 6045 if you want it.
+mcallahan
Plus the new 6045's have variable rate flow. You can dial them anywhere from 600 gph-1100 (ish) gph
Gonzobob
Yup, Tunze's have my vote as well. I've got both and speaking for the semi lazy reef keeper I can say I do at least twice as much maintenance on the Koralia's to keep them performing. Robb in Austin
+3 on Tunze if the price is the same. Don't forget to factor in the price of a controller, Tunze or other, if you want to control them.
Craig at Aquatek
Another vote for Tunze. (Though keep in mind that the 6045 isn't controllable. You need to go up to the 6055 for that.)

It's not controllable through an external controller. You can vary the flow though by a knob on the power head though.
Craig at Aquatek
If you stretch the definition any further the word is apt to break. But anyway that comment was in responses to Robb's comment above mine.
