renman303
I was thinking of adding something cool to my Sump in the Fuge section; It's about 50+ gallons. I was thinking this is a good spot for a really cool crab or Lobster or Mantis Shirmp (Although, I doubt it would be easy to view a mantis shrimp in there?). I only have top-down viewing in my sump. Renman's Blog Any Thoughts?
JamesL
Top down makes it really hard to put little things in there and see them. I think most people use their sumps as a timeout zone for bad fish/inverts that they take from the main display. With that said, you probably could do some of the non-reef safe starfish. Or like you said, a lobster (though they hide a lot). I am unsure of the requirements for something like a horseshoe crab (though I suspect they might outgrow 50g). mooric
I think someone recent suggested putting Mussels in the refugium.
renman303
Mussels.....good idea! Any thing that filter feeds is good for the water quality. I may just go to the market and get 2 lbs of live mussels!
Robb in Austin
I wonder if flame scallops would be good down there. Visible, good for water, easy to see top down. Just a thought.

renman303
I think what I may do is buy a ton of clams...very small ones and raise them for people in the area at very reduced rates.
