mooric
The Xenia in my tank has taken over part of a piece of LR in my system and I want to remove them. Has anyone had any luck removing Xenia from your LR? Any tips you can provide? TIA Charles
Robb in Austin
Scrape it off with your fingernail. I seem to recall that you can nuke any remaining bits with kalk paste or maybe epoxy/superglue/etc.
mooric
I worry about using kalk paste in my tank since it's only 28g tank...also I need to grow some nails.
Timfish
If the LR is easy to remove next time you do a water change use a toothbrush to scrub it off in the old water. If you don't want to disturbe the rock try a credit card or similar piece of plastic.

mooric
Update: I was able to peel it off the rock in nice big chunks just using my finger nail. Thanks again.
JamesL
Beware, and bits left on the rock will probably regrow. You might have to do more pruning at a later date (or glue frags over top of the spots... that will kill it ).
mooric
The rock that I wanted to remove the Xenia from has Eagle Eye Zoas growing on it. I was making more space for them.
