kristyandmike
If you are looking for a hotel to make the travel easier, you can get in on the group rate we are getting at Hilton Palacio del Rio (right across the street from the Convention Center) for $129/night. Just call 1-800-HILTONS and give them the discount code "MAA" (as in the first three letters of MAAST) to make your reservation. www.palaciodelrio.hilton.com

+cyrus
So the convention was a blast! very informative and the vendors brought some really nice corals! I got yet another hammer, and a fruit loop acan! I also won a Reef Nutrition Package in the raffle (After my tickets were blessed! Thanks Lorraine!) which included 6 of their products! The children that were there were seriously into their reefing too. One in stood out from the rest by the name of Justin from Austin. This lucky (because he won multiple raffles), and intelligent boy asked many questions stunning the speakers with his extensive knowledge along with the crowd for that matter! He was the winner of the 135g tank also although he made it very clear to me that he was happy with his 75g. Children being shown this hobby at such a young age makes me realize a bright future for this hobby and our oceans is in store for us old farts.
