pbnj
I think JohnG had super actinics over his tank. I've never seen coral colors pop like that.

Crab Rangoon
Yeah, URI became UVL - but their SuperActinics are all the same, and just as good as ever

+Hydro
I'm using super actinic VHO on the new tank and also was using them on my 175, I think that they are great but I have no experience with other actinic bulbs.

Will
I thought t-5s were supposed to be better?
pbnj
I thought t-5s were supposed to be better? I could be wrong, but I think T5s have better performance (i.e., PAR). However, I've yet to see a T5 tank produce the light show that's produced by a VHO tank.

I thought those were T5s on your tank? They do make VHO t5's, I thought that is what I had over my tanks but I was wrong they are the standar t5s. Rjohn
I saw an ad on Ebay for a Corallife 4 lamp retro kit, NIB, for $75 and $42 shipping. I priced it on MarineDepot fot $300. I contacted the seller and he swears it has never been used.

+Lamont
They make super actinics for just about every type of reef lighting. (PC's, T-5's, T-8's, T-12's) I was about to buy some 65w pc super actinics but they were cheaper than the regular pc actinics so I thought the regular actinics were better. I will try them out next time.
