Derek
I got a gallon of 9% white vinegar this week. I need to clean out my sump and skimmer with it. Is this something that I would just let soak for a while or is it something that I need to scrub with some kind of abrasive object?
+mcallahan
Let it soak over night, a couple of days is better.
prof
I usually fill up a tank/tub/sink with water and add a gallon of vinegar to it. Then I soak everything I need to clean for a couple of days. At that point a rag or soft bristle brush will get it clean. Calcium deposits will turn to mush.

+achen
I was considering using vinegar to clean my K1 pump. Do you just soak it in vinegar for a few hours, scrub and then rinse with lots of water?

I let it sit for several days Yes, let it sit is a solution of vinegar and water. After the few days, scrub, then soak in just plain water for a few days (well, that is what I did). +dapettit
I have a Koralia Nano that been sitting in vinegar since Saturday. The coraline is melting away.
