  1. what worked for me was a peppermint shrimp from Rockin reefs, that thing annihilated any and all aptasias i had
  2. Ok got all the rock zip tied to the eggcrate. here is the piece that will go along the back wall. here it is in the tank. and the piece that will go on the overflow wall. Tomorrow, i will go buy some pond foam and start filling in the cracks, then cut the zip ties and remove them. then comes the epoxy and the sand over the foam.
  3. Got me 15 pounds of dry rock from Dave and took a hammer to it. and heres what i have. gonna start zip tying it to the eggcrate now more pics later this evening.
  4. its been a work in progress for a while, Im trying to space it out so i dont rush and mess up lol
  5. you zip tie the dry rocks to eggcrate then fill in the spaces between the rock with pond foam, then you coat the foam in a 2 part epoxy to seal it and while thats wet sprinkle it with sand to cover the foam. its an idea I got from RC

that was gonna be my question.
  15. Not trying to knock your tank, but do you have some aversion to going to one of the LFS here for livestock. It seems you could have already had some of the HA eaten up in the time your waiting for your CUC to be delivered. BTW i really like that overflow mod, I might have to try that on my 5 gallon
  16. AOI=All In One. Its my own homemade biocube if you will lol
  17. As far as tanks go IMO its all preference. I plan on keeping a pair of ocellaris in my AOI 10 gallon that i constructed, as long as you keep up with cleaning and WC's you should be fine. And as far as lighting goes, I would just pick up a Coralife 150w clip on and stick that on whatever you end up with, Great little light, I love mine.
  18. Like said "Last Resort" Mine had gotten outta control. It was so bad I didnt even want to look at the tank
  19. Looking for it as we speak. It was red slime control made by Blue Life. it worked after one treatment
  20. Ive got some stuff for cyano you could borrow if neede.......I waited to use it as a last resort and it worked.
  21. before i started getting a cyano outbreak, Id notice little bubbles attached to my rocks. I was feeding to much so i had a cyano outbreak, i stopped feeding as much and the cyano and the bubbles went away
