  1. I would recommend having someone with saltwater experience check on you tank. You can have a neighbor check on it and feed the fish daily but I would recommend a "professional" at least once a week. They can clean the skimmer, do a water change, look for potentional problems, etc. I have used Misti with Sea Clearly maintenance (one of the ARC sponsers) and was very pleased. She would also be available if the neighbor noticed something was wrong. Cheap insurance and peace of mind in my opinion.
  2. These kinds of bags are used for tube feeding and not IV fluids. The tubing is rigid except for a 6 inch section that is soft and designed to go in a "roller" style pump similar to the BRS peristaltic pumps. These do not come with a flow regulator and may be difficult to fine tune the flow.
  3. golden midas blenny...great fish!
  4. All of hydro's recommendations are good. Hard to tell from the video if it is green hair algae (GHA) or bryopsis. I battled with what I thought was GHA for several months without success. Tried the same things you have. mcallahan came over and thought it might be bryopsis (even though it looks more typical of GHA). Raised my Mg from 1350 to 1600 over a week and it disappeared almost overnight.
  5. Sorry you missed out Laura. That would be a switch...you buying something from me I'll add you to the "clone" list. At the current rate I am getting a split about every 3 months.
  6. Both are pending sale. Thanks for all the interest. I have several on a waiting list for the next clones as well.
  7. Let me know when you are ready. I'll be happy to save the next one for you.
  8. sale pending to Wizardx322 one still available
  9. Not sure what the secret is. I was feeding mine silversides once a week and it split. I got worried that they would outgrow my tank so I stopped feeding them for a few months and they split. They seem to have a mind of their own.
  10. Checking interest for the sale of 2 Sherman Rose Bubble Tip Anemone (RBTA) These came from Mickeyw43 in Dallas and are very hardy, maintain their bright rose color, and split frequently. Mine have been very happy and have never wandered. You can do a search for Sherman RBTA for more info. I have had mine since March and now I have 3. Serious inquiries only. I will not sell to anyone that has not had their tank up an running for at least 6 months and you must have adequate lighting (MH, T5, VHO, or LED). Selling price $100 each

  17. Anyone else having problems with the special grade sand clumping? Does the sugar fine stuff clump also?
  18. Mark, Do you mean that the sugar fine will settle to the bottom and the larger stuff will be at the top? That was one of my concerns with mixing... What do you use in your tank?
  19. I am upgraded my tank next week and trying to decide on a substrate. I currently have 2 inches of the caribsea select grade but have been unhappy with it as it seems to clump easily. I had the sugar sized sand a decade ago and seem to remember being happy with it. I was going to put in 2 inches of fresh sugar sized sand when I upgrade unless someone can talk me out of it Any pros/cons/opinions?
  20. very nice. Great coloration. What lights are you running?
  21. Funny...my wife said the exact same thing...about the chalices that is....
  22. I guess I am missing something here. Can anyone explain the love affair and need for deep pockets regarding chalices. They are colorful but why are they SOOO much more expensive than other colorful things that "just sit there". It doesn't even have any waving tentacles or anything else that is interesting to look at.....
  23. Aquatek carries them. I think they were around $50. They are located behind the cash register counter so you have to ask for them.
