  1. Previously posted some pics in the complete systems area: http://www.austinreefclub.com/topic/15716-144g-oceanic-half-circle-system/ Tank: 144g Oceanic Half Circle Reef Ready Stand & Cap: Matching Oceanic stand and cap with Stainless Steel Trim Sump: Oceanic Sump Model 2 w/ removable wet/dry insert Tank, Stand, Cap, and Sump- $750 (This set-up is nearly $4000 new, tank and stand nearly $3500- http://www.indooreef.com/special.html)
  2. I understand your position, but just so the post is clear on this product, the skimmer is five years old and I got it new in box.
  3. At some date the Sedra 5000 became the base for the SP3 and it remained that way until Euroreef shut down. This skimmer must have been made after that date as the pump is a SP3 and is a modified Sedra 5000. This skimmer was probably made near the end of the 6-2+ run, because within months of purchasing it when I went to the Euroreef site they had switched over all of the model numbers. It is very quiet.
  4. Went back and looked it up. The SP3 is a modified Sedra 5000 so I guess the answer is actually "both." Given the earlier reduction in price at this point I am firm at $150.
  5. Here is a picture. The pump is the Sedra.
  6. Current USA 1/4hp Prime Inline Modular Chiller w/ single stage controller. Asking $300.
  7. Reduced price to $150. This skimmer is a great deal at this price.
  8. All cleaned up and ready to go. Great for tanks in the 125-150 range. I used it on my 144 reef. Asking $200.
  9. Final price reductions in top post. Will be bringing remaining livestock to River City for trade in on Sunday if it hasn't sold by then.
  10. If you want a quiet, reliable pump that is more in line with your flow needs look at an Eheim 1250 (maybe a 1048 would work with only 3' of head pressure, but a 1250 would be safest bet).
  11. Not much left. Reducing prices to get the last of it gone.
  12. I have a Euroreef 6-2+ for sale that has been doing a great job on my 144 reef for several years. PM if you are interested. I have it posted in my hardware thread as I am parting out the entire setup.
  13. No fish for sale. I am moving some over to my FOWLR and I made arrangements for the others before posting. Most of the fish are extremely geriatric having been known to be in captivity 5-8 years, and my main focus was in finding the right setting for them instead of selling.
  14. I will have live rock available via the part out and break down of my reef tank. See thread here: http://www.austinreefclub.com/topic/16142-144g-reef-tank-part-out/ for prices/info. Rock will probably be available this weekend. I need to get a few more corals out of there first.
  15. The part out of my reef tank is reaching the end stages. I had previously posted some pics in the complete systems area: http://www.austinreefclub.com/topic/15716-144g-oceanic-half-circle-system/ I can take additional pictures upon request. Here is the remaining livestock available: Large birdsnest coral (probably 12"x5"x5")- $120 or will make 3x2" colonies for $30 Green closed maze brain (approx. 5")- $30 Large red montipora cap (10" across)- $40 Teal millepora colony (2X1X4")- $20 green w/ pinkish polyps acro colony- $50 (looks like chips acro, but not sure of exact type) large fiji yellow leather colony on large piece of live rock- $60 (left side of avatar pic give a good idea of this colony) Blue tort frags- Have two frags about 1"- $20 each Awesome 2" strawberry crab- $5 (forgot about this guy until I started to take the live rock out) Unmounted frags- acropora valida, montipora digitata, and birdsnest. $5 per frag For hardware see my post in that forum: http://www.austinreefclub.com/topic/16143-144g-oceanic-half-circle-reef/
  16. I have a lot of Yellow Fiji Leather, including a 2" piece that needs to go and maybe could even work out something on a bigger piece. Let me take some pics tonight and send to you to see what you think. Since you are in S. Austin, if you are interested maybe you can just come by and decide what you want.
  17. Go with the biggest sump that you can reasonably fit. The extra system capacity will help stabilize the system and you will be amazed over time how much sump space you use.
  18. Recently moved my tanks and the new setup on the FOWLR didn't require as much pump as the old setup did (less head feet). Also had less space to work with as I didn't drill through the wall to the garage as had been the case in previous home. Therefore, I took out the Barracuda and went with a SuperDart Gold. The Barracuda still works great, though seal is a little tight and sometimes it needs a screwdriver turn to startup after poweroff (manufacturer says this is fine/can be normal). Asking $175 OBO. Flow info/tables can be found here: http://www.reeflopumps.com/flowbiasedpumps.html
  19. I was happy to help and just glad that our community will have you back. I really like the aquascaping and wouldn't do anything differently with it as I look at it now. I can not see really well from the pics, but one mistake I made in my FOWLR was having the rock too close to the side glass that made cleaning the glass difficult. As long as you can magnet and scrape easy enough I like the way it looks. One suggestion I have, that probably fits into the category of either: (1) I should have said it sooner; or (2) you already decided it is not an option; is the location of the chiller. I have my chiller for the reef tank in the tank room similar to how yours is currently positioned. It draws constant complaints from my wife for adding heat to the room when it is running. It looks like you have easy access outside from the tank location and it might be worth plumbing through to keep it outside. For my FOWLR the chiller is in the garage and that has added to household accord. Can't wait to see the setup in person as you start stocking the tank. Talk to you soon.
  20. I like the revised aquascaping. Having it clear out in the middle makes it look more natural to me and provides variation. Can't wait to see it once you start putting some corals in there.
