  1. Can you remove the rock? If so your best bet is to scrub the GSP with a brush under hot tap water. I've successfully killed zoas, mushrooms, unwanted montis, acros, gsp and pug dogs using this method.

    Hahahahahahahahahaha

  2. The 5 yr thing sounds like another one of those urban legends (or should I say reef legends) without a shred of scientific fact. Dale has been running 400's for a long time, as I have for for almost 3 yrs. I plan to continnue as long as I can afford my electric bill. If you decide to change over, let me know. I might be interested in the bulbs and ballasts.

Thats who I made the reference to in my 1st post laugh.gif You gotta love Dale's tank (and new tank)!!!

  3. It doesn't seem likely that a tank of 5 years would crash because of stronger lighting. One of the tanks here in Austin (also a member here) that I find to be the best has been using 400w MHs for 5 years+ and have actually had to tear down because he got TOO MUCH growth and the tank was doing so well he couldn't keep up. Luckily he started back and his tank is still my favorite.

  4. The reason I was asking is I'm getting prices for anemones and feather dusters fome indoneisia. An I have to buy a minimum of 220.50 lb for them to ship any thing. But Im planing on starting a busniss of anemones and corals, featherdusters. But no fish just starting out and I love anemones and have 2 right now but want more.:)

220.50 lbs? What ya' planning on getting me!?! laugh.gif

  5. I might get a few eventuly but I don't have a big tank to hold them in right now. Well I have a 55g in my garage and a t-5 but it's not enuff light for them. So I'm looking to get some Hms soon too.

They can be tricky (as you know). But I'd love to see how you keep them! I think the little guys are a spectacular species. If you decide to upgrade and keep the Carpet 'Nems, post pictures!!

  6. Ok so who would buy a $400 anemone?

I think the most common answer you'll get would be "Not me." Anemones are hard to care for, carpet Anemones in particular have a record for being very touchy specimens. Many would find the risk too high to purchase one.

    As for me? I wouldn't.

  7. I think it's a fair price. My primary concern is finding a home where he will be super ecstatic. Maybe a clown buddy, etc...

    That price surpasses fair! :D

I hope his new home will be great!
