    Controller

I do believe the RK lite has different options though. If I read it correctly there is one without temp, orp, ph slots to be able to plug probes into. If this is correct, be sure to pick the right one. I was thinking about the same point on the RK with the things that are available, such as turning fans, chiller, and heater on when the tank reaches or drops to a certain temperature. It will also shut lights off if temp continues to rise above a desired temp. The RK2 gives you a wavemaker and a one touch standby mode to shut off all pumps and powerheads. I think this controller gives the computer geek what he desires in a controller, and it gives the simple minded people like me what we desire. The Reefkeeper is well worth the 300.00 i spent.

  18. I had the same problem frags, even whole colonies losing tissue and i couldnt guess why. I asked and someone asked what my alk was at and it was low low low... Like 4 . I got that under control and im starting to get my corals back.
  19. Did you use a dremmel or a drill bit?
  20. Your sump is made almost exactly like mine. do you have a problem with microbubbles at all from the refugium spilling over into the return? I fought that for a long time and just put a piece of acrilic in there and that fixed the microbubble nightmare.
  21. I use 2 giesman 54 w true blue actenics. That is all I've ever used so thats all I know but they do the trick. A good thing to do is look at the color chart on the bulb package to see what colors that bulb puts out. Corals like the violet, green, and red so if the chart is high on those I think you will do well with that. Steve Tyree has a lecture on disc that he sells on his site that explains in detail the color spectrum, and how different colored corals react and perfer different colors that the bulbs give off. ( If that makes any sense I guess it sounds better in my head). Hey mike those corals are doing great that i got from you. I posted pics of them.
