  1. I have the same flooring. When I put my 90 in I worried about the same issue. I bought a shower curtain and folded it to just before the end of my stand and in the back let it go up the base board to keep water from flowing under it and getting to the flooring that way. Next I laid black kitchen cabinet/drawer liner on top of that so you cant see the shower curtain and it works great. This has saved me quite a few times.

  2. I remodled my office for my 40 gal and it turned out great. Like mike said though I wouldnt tear the roof off just for a 55 or 65 gal. I am more partial to the 65 gal because its SO much better for your aquascaping. If you want the 4 ft tank I would go with the 75 gal you have like 18 in from front to back, and that would be plenty of room for rockwork. Good luck.

  3. I do agree you should glue all your plumbing and just use union fittings in the places you think you might need to take apart. I would do away with the tee on the return Its not really needed. Also the baffels should probably be switched. Have your bubble trap on the return side, as it's not going to matter if you have bubbles in your refugium. If you have 1 baffel on the return side any and all bubbles will spill over into your return chamber. Now I dont want to sound like I know everything about sump design because I dont, but I say this because I have micro bubble problems on my 90 gal from the design you have but my 40 gal has NO microbubbles whatsoever. This is just my opinion take it for what it's worth.

  4. You saw my 90 bow front... I had my vortec on that and it did ok, but I wasnt completely satisfied with its performance in there ESPECIALLY for the price I paid. I moved it to my new tank and It exceeded my expectations. I can have a 2 1/2 inch wave going in there and it has a night mode and several other modes you can switch through. This being said I can only tell you about the vortec because I've only used this product and none of the others. I think the bow on my 90 gal is what made everything so wierd but other than that it does very well. I have seen the tunze wave box on caferacermike's tank and in the display tank at Aquatech and I am convinced that that is a very good way to go if you have room for it. Good luck V.

  5. T12 Endcaps: 3 Piece Waterproof German Flourescent Endcaps T12 (one pair) - work with both STD and VHO bulbs. 3-piece design with rubber o-ring to protect contact from water and moisture. Works with VHO, HO or NO fluorescent T-12 bulbs. I have 5 of these. can be used with stand-offs (or acrylic mounts) to install directly in to your canopy. $10.

Do you still have the endcaps ? We will be in roundrock today and I thought since I'll be there I could get them if you still have them.

  6. VHO !!! I cant wait to see it done, and if you get this one done and get rid of it in a month you and I are gonna fight ... ................. It's gonna be kristen and katryna all over again lmao ;)

Hey Daniel! This will be a mixed reff, but mostly SPS. I will have a shallow sandbed in the tank and a DSB in the fuge. I cant get into the BB look. I have a Icecap 660, but havent picked VHO's or T5's yet. Im not sure about your last question. I will be sealing the tank, if I didnt I think it might leak!!!! LOL!

  7. I have a 90 bowfront and it is 29 tall t5 barely did the trick , so went from 6 36" t5s to 2 48 " t5s, 2 250 w mh and 2 110 w vho. my personal opinion is if you are going that tall (31") you will need more than t5s if you are doing sps. If you are really just wanting a bigger tank for sps and fish depending on howmuch you have in the stand maybe just bite the bullet and go bigger... Start fresh. look at the 150 display at aquatech its the perfect tank. I'm just saying this because I would hate to get done with a project like that and not be completely happy with the outcome.

  8. Does anyone remember when the picasso clown came on the scene about 3 years ago? They were over $300.00 a piece and a mated pair was like 700. Now you can get them for 60 to 70 ... Now thats still overpriced in my opinion for a clownfish but thats not my point. My point is I would be mad as hell if i bought a $300.00+ fish and a year and a half it was now a $70.00 fish lol. Oh and like Mike said the LE isnt even limited edition anymore it's just 2 letters out of the alphabet when it comes to MOST of these corals to justify overpricing.

  9. I'm not sure I understand the allure of a fish simply because it is 'rare'. Perhaps it's 'rare' because its evolutionary viability sucks? But hey, maybe fugly fish get laid too?

My opinion is ora is breeding fish with defects... I bet you will never find one of these wild caught. If you think about it first it was like misbar, the teardrop, then came the naked, the picasso, the snowcasso, and now the platinum. If you breed defects then those genes will become more and more dominent and you get a $600.00 fish... Now

this is just my opinion and I dont know that they didnt find this fish somewhere, BUT I think these fish are wayyy overpriced and overrated. I MAY BE 100% WRONG but seems to me that all these clowns originate at ORA...
