  1. Well after much convincing my wife has agreed to getting an office tank at work. While it is still in the planning and acquisition phase, some of the items have began to arrive. So far the hardware acquired is: Mr. Aqua 12 galling long (approx 36" L x 8" W x 9" H) Neptune Apex controller AquaIllumination Sol Blue The tank will be drilled to allow for more water volume and the ability to hide equipment. Will most likely run bio pellets from the start. Other than a Tunze 9002, does anyone have any positive experience with small skimmers?
  2. for 2000 you can get about anything vegas and sols cover a 24"x 24" area so you would need 3-4
  3. It might just be the stress from parameter changes. But, as much as I hate the practice...it is not uncommon for anemones to come into stores "Dyed" to achieve certain coloration.
  4. I have moved full tanks a few inches to 1 ft max, I recommend against it (when FULL). draining some of the water should help lighten it an prevent sloshing while moving. just try to make movements SLOWLY and nothing too abrupt...unless you want falling rockwork
  5. DIY LED, with dimming drivers and a good controller that can dim them (apex) or Ai Sol or Kessil or AI vega (I have owned all the above)
  6. maybe it wants you to take an existential journey into self-awareness and observation....or it is broken
  7. dunno the size of your planted tank, but if it is small enough you could run the fluval fauna co2 setup...it is pretty cheap
  8. Pm replied pics are here: http://www.austinreefclub.com/topic/25464-the-droplet-an-arduino-monitored-gu10-lit-pico-drop-off-tank/?hl=droplet
  9. Comes with: 1 x ReefKeeper Elite v2 Head Unit 1 x RKM-SL1 ( supports pH, ORP, temperature, 2 micro switches) 2 x RKM-PC4 (total of 8 outlets) 1 x SID v2 Programming Dongle 1 x pH Probe 1 x Temperature Probe 3 x bus cables Everything works fine open to interesting trades

  11. Sadly, with my step-dad having a brain tumor I can't give it the attention it deserves. Keeping my big tank still (obviously)
