Sorry to hear about your father. I hope is able to make a full recovery.
I'm not looking for a tank right now. I might help those that are if you can give an estimate on the size of the tanks.

It was good to meet you too. I'm sure this coral will be one of the best in my tank. It already looks awesome.

Yes, I am John . Thanks for the frag today it is doing great in the tank.

Good starter fish for fish only tanks, reef tanks, and nano tanks. Also, include which ones are jumpers.

Wow, that's pretty cool. Are you going to try to raise them, have you tried before?
-
I've had one for about 6 months and have never seen it do that before. This is a link on their general care, it does not speak to what you are seeing. I'd run extra carbon just to be safe.

I checked and didnt find anything...i've been searching Craigslist throughout SWT area and have never seen the tank / price you refer to...can you provide url? thanks
I think the seller sold it or took it off CL. This is the only one I could find in a 160 mile radius.

I'm going to assume that you do not normally suffer from anxiety or have been drinking a lot of coffee? What kind of contact did you have with the zoas and palys?
If you go see a doctor you might call ahead. I'm not sure how many places have treatment on hand for zoa/paly toxins. Then again you'd probably just confuse the person on the phone.

You mentioned you also have live rock you are selling. Does this mean you are parting out your system or just have extra rock somewhere? I'm not looking for a full system but am interested in some corals

I've got some zoas, blue tipped acropora, and different kinds of euphyllia fragged. I have a few loose mushrooms as well.

I wanted to see if anyone has or has had a frag/grow out tank in their garage. What are your experiences? I've thought about this before and the main drawback I can think of is the temperature. Has this been an a big issue (heaters/chillers/extra electric bill)?
When I first got into this hobby I went to a guys house who had some in his garage. I only slightly thought about the heaters and chillers back then and didn't ask a lot of questions.

Would new items qualify for a discount or free shipping?

Do they look like these?

Thanks everyone! I had a fun day going to the Shiner Brewery. Mmmm...free beer .

Mike have you considered fragging the torch and putting it in different areas of the tank (or moving a piece to a quarantine tank)? This would be more of a last result if you can't figure out the cause. I would vote for dipping them first.
Here are a couple thoughts on what that might buy you.
If there is something visible living in the skeleton and eating it, this might allow you to see it in the fragging process.
If after separating them, only 1 frag continues to have the problem, you could study what is different. Then you could address that, or worst case remove that 1 torch from the tank.

Yeah, just wait. My RBTA lost all of it's tenticles...I usually would turn off the powerhead and see if it released itself...it did this a number of times. The last was the worst and I think it may have learned because it's now staying put. It's been a month and has tenticles and is out in the open. Oddly...my clowns never touched it and now the small clown is always in it.
I found turning off the powerhead works well too. When the powerhead is on, the it can pull the anemone in if it is moving or to close.
You might want to think about moving the powerhead far enough away where it won't be a problem in the future.
24G JBJ Nano for sale (pics added)
in Complete Systems
Posted
I am selling my 24G JBJ Nano. It's a couple of years old but in great condition. The middle chamber is already cut away to set up a small refugium. It comes with the black stand and a recently replace maxijet 400 for the return pump. This is currently an open air cube, but I have the ballast and hood as well. I have a 75w K2 Viper MH clamp on fixture. There is some coral, live rock, and live sand/gravel that I will throw in for free. The lights on the hood have about 1 month use and I will also throw in some unused CFs that go in the hood.
$150 for tank and hood with Compact Fluorescent lights
$100 for MH
$225 for everything
Will post pics later need to charge the camera.
