Not sure about pure survival at low calcium levels, but I think it makes it harder to keep alk & mg in check when calcium levels are out of whack. Bad Alk levels will defintely have an impact on corals, i.e., death.

I'm going.

Not if it has a network card. You should be able to run a network cable from the pc to the bridge.
Ahh, makes sense....thanks.
-
I want it...sending you a PM
Sorry, get in line.

Read Hydro Innovations build thread because he gives you a pretty good idea of what you'll be getting for your money. I think the overall, general consensus on GC is that they build solid tanks at affordable prices, but with sloppy silicon work and poor customer service.
Personally, I'd prefer to go with AGE. However, if cost is a factor (AGE is expensive), I'd look at OceanView for a custom tank build (Jake at RCA is a distributor).

I found an older version of the manual on Aquacave that explains the DHCP the way Bry did. They could have saved me a lot of grief if they kept that explanation in the newer manual.

HALLELUJAH, it works!
Thanks, Bry!

Wait, the DHCP should be disabled?

I'll keep tinkering.

[You really need to test it from an outside source without being at home (or via your phone on a 3G/LTE network and not your home wifi).
Thanks, that's my next step. There might be some kind of firewall issue going on through my work laptop.

Your router should have no bearing on inside translation (at least on a consumer level device). Something else is going on if you can only hit the Apex from one PC.
I'm using my work laptop from home, which connects to my workplace's network via my home's cable modem.

Seems wierd you can't tell it several IP and ports nor can you choose UDP or TCP.
You can choose TCP, UDP, or TCP/UDP.
I've also read that Netgear routers have problems when remote management turned is turned on.
RM is turned off.
What if you try the http://192.168..1.50:80 instead of having the DNS translate?
Doesn't work.
-
Thanks, but I tried 80/80 as well.

That screenshot is from the Port Forwarding option on the menu.
Let me add that I can access the controller from my home PC, just not from a different computer. The different/other computer is using the same router, but I can't access the controller using http://mywanip:9999 or http://apex:9999 from that machine.

Isn't the meeting supposed to be June 25th?

Does a PC need a wireless network adaptor to utilize a wall-plugged ethernet bridge?

I think they need to be in the sand for the roots to grow and stay strong. The leaves have to be spray/cleaned periodically with unsalted water too.

If we were talking about a huge, one-of-a-kind tank, I'd say try and fix it. But is a 115g tank really worth the effort and expense, not to mention the lack of peace of mind?
If it were me, I'd sell the set-up as a reptile display and put the cash toward a new tank.

Thanks.

Can anyone recommend a good, reliable automatic fish feeder? Preferrably one that doesn't run on batteries, but that's not essential.

Have you tried Kingfish Aquariums in Austin (an ARC sponsor)?

They're pretty inexpensive at Aquatek.

OK, how about this statistic.....a recent study showed that over 75% of supermarket shopping cart handles sampled were contaminated with fecal matter. I started using those cleaning wipes that H-E-B offers after I heard that one.
