  1. I have a large Wellsophyllia that I would like to sell. It has lost some of it's color in my tank due to very little feeding and lower nutrient tank. It is very healthy and stays puffed up all of the time. I'm sure it would color back up in a LPS tank or if it was fed regularly. I'm only selling because my sandbed is getting a little over crowded. I don't need to sell it so I'm not going to give it away.

    It's approx. 5"x5"

    $100

This is when I first got it:

  2. Lol...no it's only 8 inches long. There is not a whole lot of info out there since it's more popular over in europe. I can tell you it works really well on tanks under 30 gallons and is more energy efficient than a standard coolant chiller. Let me know if you'd like to come by and look at it. 4ac0a86e-1839-4319.jpg

  3. I have one colony of acans that does that exact same thing every few months. It usually stays that way for a few days and then slowly starts to puff back up. It used to really freak me out, but now I've had the colony for two plus years, and it's been doing that the entire time so now I just kinda ignore it and hope it goes away. My water params are always stable when it does this too. Hopefully this is your case as well and nothing to be concerned about. Also, out of all of my acans I only have the one that does this. Is this your case too or does it seem like other LPS are effected as well?

  4. I have received a few PMs asking why I am selling this skimmer so here is the reason. I recently had the chance to pick up a Bubble King 180, and since I have always wanted to see if these skimmers can live up to the hype I jumped on the opportunity. It had nothing to do with the performance of the SWC. It was solely a curiosity about the Bubble king.

  5. Fourteen month old SWC Xtreme Mini Cone S Protein Skimmer. This has been a great skimmer and has produced all kinds of nasty gunk from my tank.

Here is what SWC says about it:

A 1 piece seamless conical protein skimmer. There are no seams on this cone body to leak.

The ORIGINAL Xtreme protein skimmer! Comes with an Italian made Sicce PSK-2500 pump.

An integrated removable bubble plate to help reduce turbulence within the protein skimmer.

Extra-wide necks in the design to allow for more air flow.

Wedge pipe output allows you to adjust the skimmer and have fine control of the water level.

Custom pin wheel impeller as well as an optional mesh wheel impeller. Up to 34scfh of air pull using custom pin wheel impeller and up to 45scfh using mesh wheel impellers!

These are real numbers not hyped numbers. Draws less than 25 watts of electricity per pump.Quick release neck on the collection cup - requires 1/2 inch of clearance to remove the cup.

    In sump skimmers only.

Air results can vary depending on individuals’ aquarium setup.

    Recommended water depth 6-10 inches.

  6. Does anyone have or know where I can buy locally a 10" refillable RO/DI filter cartridge? I forgot to order one in an order and now really don't want to pay shipping....again.

  7. Sorry this took me so long. I had to leave town for a week an then have been a little busy.

I am very disappointed to say that after three consecutive tests I am not very impressed with the accuracy. I just finished the three tests and got a variety of readings: 431, 408, and 481. I followed the directions to the "T", and still did not get good results. I'm going to be getting in contact with Hanna to see if they have any suggestions. I'll definitely post here what I find out.

  8. Azoo 120W Chiller/Heater combo model CH100.This is a thermoelectric chiller, not a refrigerant chiller. Includes internal heater. Temperature is read in celcius. Its about 8" wide X 10" long X 8" tall and has 5/8" inlet/outlet connections. Comes with tubing and a MaxiJet 1200 for a feed pump. Basically a plug and play set up.

I've been using it to cool 15 gallons in my water change station, but it can't keep up when my garage is 100+ degrees, and my giant Iwaki pump is running. I think in a normal temperature home it should be able to cool or heat 20-30 gallons easily.

    $75 obo

  9. I guess I need to check it out. I have only ran one test with the Hanna, and I compared it to my Elos test kit which I know I can trust. They both read 420. I'll let you know what I find out.
