Yes I did order the skimmer (bm250) Its on backorder but should be 3-6 weeks

The stand isnt done yet, still missing most the trim but the basic frame and doors are on. I have to pick it up in Dallas in a couple weeks. It will be stained cherry. Can't wait to join your Starfire club Andrew!!!

I think he was overskimming his tank.. It would have happend with any tank that has a oversized skimmer http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthre...mp;pagenumber=6 I have heard of this happening on other skimmers that were too big for there tanks also.

Yea I think that Deltec is to proud of there stuff. This is from RC the ap702 draws about 1800lph of air via 2 eheim 1260's(105 watts) the ati bm 250 will draw about 2000 lph via 2 sicci pumps (60 watts) the deltec replacement eheim pumps are over $400 ati sicci pumps are $150 to replace ati bm 250 Dimensions: 14.2" x 9.5" x 20.8" (L x W x H) deltec ap702 dimentions 19 x 19 x 24 (L x W x H) ati bm 250 $769 deltec ap702 $1,760 For the price the Deltec doesnt look very good comparied to the ATI.

I agree totally,,,,, Thats why I posted this on ARC and not RC because I didnt want a flame war. I just want to see what people are running in the area with a 180 to 200 gallon tank and if they like there skimmer. Should have posted the question better.

OK I am looking at skimmers again. I dint want Deltec so excluding Deltec what does everyone like? Was really looking at the ATI BM 200 or possible the Octopus Recirc 250. Any suggestions?

Well I did some cleaning today, removed the Skimmer and the CA rector from the sump and cleaned them both, also removed and added new Reactor media. this is a side shot from the right side this is a picture of a Red Digi I got from Joesph a few weeks ago

OK so I have had this Black Mithrax Crab eating my SPS for about 8 months now. I had tried everything from feeding him nightly which only made him bigger faster and gave him a bigger appetite to many different ways of catching him. I have even try ed hand feeding him then grabbing at him but he is so fast. Well tonight I got him. I noticed him on a rock toward the top of the tank and grabbed the rock out of the water then ripped him off it with my bare hands, trust me it wasn't easy he had a very tight grip. I didn't get a picture because I was so excited It didn't even register but he looks like this. He was about 3 inches big, when I first spotted him he was under half an inch He is now a happy resident of my fuge were he can eat what he wants and cant kill my coral.

Yea I also had a hard time with the color since my tank has 2 diffrent bulbs on it at the moment. I have a Reeflux 12k on the left side and a Phoenix 14k on the right side. I am going back to the Phoenix 14k after trying the Reeflux 10k's for a few months. The Phoenix is the Best bulb I have seen IMO. I get way better blues with the Phoenix

Well I have had the yellow sponge from the start but I noticed Im starting to get some pink sponge also. Was wondering what color of sponge everyone else has. I would love to get some blue sponge if anyone has some.

But remember that the Coralife time does day and night cycles by alternating the four sockets on the right.

I dont think I have seen any Mysis but I do have a ton of Amphipods. I will contiue looking

Ok so I built my Refugium with a cryptic zone, I have only seen a few sponges take up the area but what I did notice tonight is it is a pod haven!!! I Have thousands of Copepods swimming around down there. I made a mistake of putting a few blue leg crabs in the fuge when I got it and I think they were eating the pods but now that the crabs are all dead in that area I can see so many pods. Hopefully the rest of the refugium will look like that soon.

But dont you make your own food? I am using 1 cube at feeding time and I alternate what type of food I feed.
