    Dolomite is what I was told to use but I cant seem to find it in an on-line store. Anyone have a link or know the difference between the Zeovit and the Dolomite ?

    Ok I have a PM Calcium Reactor 422 and my ALK is 12.8 dkl but my CA is only 420ppm How do I lower my ALK to around 9 but keep or raise my CA? My Mg is 1290 and my PH is 8.2

    John I thought that the 10 and the 12k were basically the same spectrum but the 12k had a little more blue and it was just because it lost some of the other color spectrum. Wouldn't this make the 10k a better choice for color? If I just decided to go with the 14k phoenix would I need to run supplemental lighting? I want to have the best color and light penetration all the way to the bottom of my tank (24" with 4" sand bed) using 2 250w Icecap ballast. Also John what size tank are you running the 12k de reeflux's on? Gabriel what ballast are you using? I have never heard of the Reeflux 10k's looking yellow.

    Anyone have any experience with these bulbs on Icecap ballast? I'm looking at the 250w de bulbs. I will be running 2 of them in Lumenarc mini reflectors. I have heard that the Reeflux 10k bulb is very good but I am currently running a 12k Reeflux and it looks dim to me. Has anyone run the 12k and 10k reeflux and knows if there is a difference in brightness?

    Hey guys, I have a 150 gallon reef with a Calcium reactor, My PH is at 8.4 pretty constantly. Tonight I had to bring my Magnesium from 1100 to 1200 and am going to bring it up to 1350 eventually. My ALK is at 9.8 right now and I want to bring it down a little, My Calcium is at 440. Question 1 How do I bring My ALK down to around 8.2-8.5 and maybe my PH to 8.2-8.4 with a Calcium reactor running? Question 2 I have heard of some kind of pellet you can put into your Calcium reactor to keep your Magnesium up without having to add supplements anyone have any info on this?

    Very cool, looks like Austin Homebrew is near Aquatek.. Do you think there will be any adverse side effects if I take that bottle off for the day to get it refilled? Or do they sell bottles so I can get a backup? Does Airgas sell bottles? Also is there a special grade Im suposed to get or is all CO2 the same?

    Hey guys, Im almost out of Co2 for the Calcium reactor. Where is the best place in either North Austin or Cedar Park to get it refilled? And what are typical prices for the small bottles?

    Those are Cerith snail eggs... I just leave them alone, they wont hatch, most likely to become fish food

    I don't think shipping is to much... It will be cheaper the more we order. I was going to place a $200 order myself and shipping was like $40. I want to place the order by Tuesday or Wednesday to get the corals by Thursday

    Oh just in case your wondering I have a Superman Milli on hold there. I am also debating between a Blue prostrata and the The Ultimate Deep Water Table. If anyone has see or has info on the deep water table acro let me know.

    I hope that's the case. I can handle a coral turning green and then coloring out. Anyone else have any ideas?

    OK I have heard this both ways, I have heard that if you have high nutrients in your tank (phosphate etc.) that your SPS could morph green. I have also heard that this isn't true. Anyone care to chime in?

    That is very cool, The only feature that it doesnt have is the ability to hook it up to a PC and get some graphs out of it. I would definatly get one if I could do that.
