    Meek Seahorse 2

Sea horse found on the wall in Roatan Honduras. Photo taken with Subal housed Nikon D2x, 70-180mm Macro Lens, and dual Inon Strobes. Pretty orange guy! Mike

  2. The Apple Air Ports work flawlessly with the Apex controllers. Not the least expensive, but the user interface is for mere mortals as compared to that Windows based PC stuff. Just FYI.
  3. I kept it for about six months and it was starting to make its change into adult plumage so to speak before it found its way to my sump and then on into my return pump. It was a quick end for him at least!
  4. Your welcome. I kinda feel like adding fish to a reef tank is like buying lotto tickets or playing bingo...not all cards/tickets are winners. You just have to take your chance. Hoven's Wrasses are also called Melanrus Wrasses. You have to get an adult to get the cool coloration. Vivid sold me a rockin' cool looking Hoven's whereas Saltwaterfish.com sold me a juvenile and it was just a dumb old silver fish.
  5. Hoven's Wrasse is a favorite of mine. Cool look as an adult. Secretive Wrasse-I picked one up from River City and really like how it cruises the reef and it doesn't appear to be as aggressive as a six line. Leopard Wrasses are WAY cool in my opinion. Gobies---the more the merrier! I have a pink spot that is 8+ years old. Love that old guy! Aptasia Eating Filefish-don't eat a lot of aptiasia, but are very docile and interesting in their behavior. Love our bicolor Blenny. He can be rowdy, but he is entertaining nonetheless. Barlett's Anthias-I've had one for about four months now and really like how it stays out in the current. Give it some consideration. The Bartlett's do well in captivity. I feed one time per day. It is fat and happy.
  6. If you have a 60 gallon cube laying around and would like to sell, please contact me. Drilled or not, don't care. I can drill it no problem. Thanks, Mike
  7. Get certified to scuba dive, both of you, go to the Carribean, and she will fall in love with the ocean. Then credit card statements will read....Aquatec, Marine Depot, River City....
  8. I'm glad to hear it's doing well in your system. I think it is a pretty fast growing coral. I have it growing like a weed in the back of my tank!
  9. It's sold and on its way to a new home.
  10. $45 for the piece in the top photo that has the red ruler behind it. The two lower photos are of the same coral in another location in the tank.
  11. SOLD This was a John G acro. I haven't done quite as well, but still, it does grow out with nice green/blue tips. This colony has been too high up in the tank and is a little tanish in color. I have a larger colony down low that has nice coloration. I'll put a photo of it below too. Big, multibranch colony. Nice piece to fill some space in your SPS tank. $45
  12. I have enjoyed the same result. I use a variety of the frozen's available from the LFS's. Usually buy from Aquatec and PE mysis is a perenial favorite.
  13. I run controlled 6105's on my 120. The tank is 4feet wide x 2 feet deep front to back. I have to run these pumps at like 60% to not rip tissue off my SPS. If the 92 corner is much smaller in dimension, you may not want to go with the LARGE 6105 chassis in your tank. It could be way too much horsepower. That being said they will certainly mix it up and with a programmable 7096 controller, you can customize/randomize to your hearts content. The MP40/MP60's would also be a good choice. They will blow the substrate right off the bottom of your tank just as well!
  14. All frags have homes. I'll have more up in 8-12 weeks. Thanks for all the interest! Mike
  15. Yellow Millie's are now SOLD OUT! Validia and Prostrata most likely available. Message me for confirmation I still have some. Limited numbers left. Thanks, Mike

  19. Clint, I love the frag discs on the overflow! M<ike
  20. So the BlueWave and the IceCap Ballasts will both fire Reeflux, XM, Hamilton lamps nicely. Any of you wanting to put 400W over your tank, either ballast would be a good choice with nice lamp options.
  21. Provide some more information. That might help with getting an offer. How old are each of the two ballasts? The Blue Wave 1- is it pulse start or probe start-What lamps are recommended for used with this ballast. What brand are the bulbs you are throwing in with the deal? Are the sockets you are including mogul or double ended? Info like that should help get an offer to you. Those are the things that I was wondering as I read your ad. Good luck selling. You can always try eBay as ballasts are easy to package and ship. Best regards, Mike
  22. I made it through about ten pages of the ebay bulb thread. Interesting. I think I'm sticking with the spectral and output data available on the web to support my choice in lamp. I don't mean in any way that you couldn't keep a tank under those lamps and I think it would be cool to see a six to twelve month journal of a tank lit by a set of these Plusrite bubls. It might shed some light on low cost ways to operate within this hobby.
