some people run it opposite there daylights and some people keep it on all the time. I dont really think there is a right or wrong answer to this one.

i would not try to keep darth mauls ever. They are a lot like african blues, even the best at keeping polyps cant keep them.
The best I heard with somebody keeping darth mauls was them getting to 12 polyps before they melted.

wow those are awesome, any chance i could trade a frag for some photos?

yes ALWAYS acclimate new corals to light. Running actinic only the first day is also always a good idea.

holy doodoo that was amazing!!!!

as for your sump i think it really depends on what you want to keep in your tank. It can be something as simple as just a skimmer and a fuge or a lot more complex. You have any idea what types of coral you would like to keep?
I have a 6x39 t-5 over a 25" tall tank and all my coral at the bottom seem to get a good amount of light, they are growing. But you will just have to see what you like the best, maybe ask to visit to locals tanks to get an idea of how they have there tanks set up.

OH NO!!!!! your tanks done buddy, better start taking it down.
But for real I would just do weekly water changes (should try to be done anyway). If not cutting back on light for a few days can help.
