I made something similar in the past, but used a 20oz soda bottle with the bottom cut off as a feeding "bell". Just poke the end of your tube through the screw on top. It allows you to surround the target coral (in some cases not), keep snails and crabs away, and feed. Worked great for my sun coral, and acans.

I'd consider them WalMart rather than dell.

You can always support the huge companies.... or the small local shops who can get you the same quality, if not better, for the same price or cheaper.

True, but remember that this huge company was a startup about 5 years ago, built with no outside investment money, and has grown "huge" because of quality and price. Where we were once small, great ideas, great people, and great products have made it so that we are at the top of the industry. Also consider that many "small local" shops outsource some of their printing because they cannot do the volume/size/material, so it could be a "huge" company doing the printing anyway. You just pay the markup.

It makes no difference to me, order from Buildasign or go small and get a good feeling about helping a "small" shop. In the end, both are local.

Good comparison. Technological innovation, great manufacturing processes, good pay for the manufacturing employees, great perks, Fast 50, Best Places to Work top 10 5 years running, so yeah. Not so much WalMart.

I work for Buildasign.com, they are local. High or low volume, high quality and fast processing.

We also do canvas, bumper stickers, car wraps, bandit signs, etc. Check out the site, you can design your banner in a couple of minutes.

It happens every morning for me, first link I click from the RSS feed, but never again until next day.

I have seen articles indicating that this is a compromised site when it happens on vbulletin, so may be the same with IPB.

I just put in a host file entry for url4short to redirect to my local machine. Happens once, then the site links work.

If there are any pink milli frags left unspoken for, I would like to get one.

I found that my recent battle with a brown film on the rocks (most likely dinoflagellates), the offline skimmer was the cause. I got my protein skimmer running again with a new pump, and within a day I noticed a reduction in dino. Less than a week later, I can no longer find any trace.

My problem used to show up in the later parts of the day, late in the light cycle. So, coming home from work, I was able to see the difference immediately.

I have a dual PFO 250, if that is the same plug style (not sure). It is not in use currently and I'd be happy to let you use. And if the plug is different, I also have a reflector and mogul I could loan as well.

Just found out that my teacher wife is not going to be able to secure full time employment, so I am looking to supplement the family with a part-time job.

If anyone knows of evening (6-12) jobs in the Domain area, I would greatly appreciate any tips. Not looking for top salary, just something to cover what we are losing. I would be able to work 3 evening, and possibly a Saturday/Sunday shift. I probably would not qualify for a sales job, since I last did any retail sales in '92, but I am willing to try.

I am a Network Administrator by day, have worked call center, computer repair, Management, and labor positions (painting, sheetrock install, etc), and love fish. So, unless the job has very specific requirements, I hope I would meet the requirements.

I'm pretty sure that Gallery of Pets has a tank just like this one, maybe not as nice. Theirs is a MARs system (Marineland). At one time, they were trying to make it a frag tank with a pendant suspended above it. A lot of splashing IIRC.

So, what are the approx dimensions of this tank. I need (to see if) this tank (will fit)!!!

Got my pack in yesterday, and all of the pieces look fantastic! Bigger than I expected for most, 3 eyes (maybe 4) on the Dragon Ball, all the others were the size of the plug or hanging off.

I believe he is using the razors as 'pins' in place of acupuncture needles. It is a fine line between having to much and to little space between the sheets of acrylic when bonding. If it is to tight the WeldOn won't flow correctly and bubbles will form. If it is to loose then the WeldOn will run out.

The basic idea behind this type of construction is called capillary bonding (or gluing). The surface tension of the WeldOn will pull it into the space between sheets. The solvent melts both sides of the acrylic and when the alcohol in the solvent dries the acrylic solidifies into one solid piece.

Since both pieces are being melted it is actually welding, just like with metal, except chemicals do the work instead of heat.

That's kind of what I thought, but he had described the pins method first, so I thought it was for some other reason.

Can you explain the shims part...what are you shimming up? Is that to hold the baffles in a certain location or ? Or am I missing the point entirely, and these go around the outside of the 2 pieces that are being welded?

I have a 29 gallon (I think) that you can have. Might need a little cleaning, but it does hold water.

It may be too small for you, but let me know if you want it.

I'm down to go for sure! The last time I went it was spur and ended up being high tide (something to account for) also the locations? Do you guys know the hot spots?

I went with the other site 2 times ago, right smack in the middle of Hurricane Dotty. It missed the coast, but brought in the high tides and sargassam seaweed. The swimming sucked (and sucked you under) but the collection was pretty good because of all the weeds. Many, many SH's, pipefish, anglers and all the Sargent Majors you could want.

Went just with the family last year, water was clear, swimming was great, collection was not in my agenda. But my daughter LOVES Port A, so I might try to talk the family back into it. Only problem is what to do with the 1 month old (she will be at that time) and it also happens to be my mother's birthday.

With regards to where to stay and such, the Mariner Inn and suites has always given pretty good rates to the MAAST group, and that is also where I chose to stay last year. Nice place...not too nice for coming in all sandy. Close to the jetty (not walking but short drive), close to restaurants, pool, and free eats in the morning. They also have a meeting room if anyone wants to turn this into an education meeting type event.

I find it ridiculous that I had to pay for a membership just to have a reliable search engine, which is about the only thing I use the site for...plus viewing the crazy large tanks. I can do that without a membership.
