Patrick,
So as far as dissolved oxygen, my PH with the skimmer on went threw a swing of about 7.78-8.12, with the skimmer off its around 7.58-8.05. To me that's not that big of an issue I guess. I have seen a dramatic change in the colors of my corals w/o the skimmer. When I had my 120G in the wall it was always testing this testing that trying to keep the PO4 low. Now all I do is water changes every 2wks and feed the fish. I was really wore out doing all the work, and now seeing that a little algae everywhere isn't a big deal and the corals are growing leaps and bounds I think I like the simple way. Thanks for the compliment Patrick. I need to schedule a meeting here at my house maybe to show PPL that you don't have to have a spik and span tank to have coral grow and thrive.

Well dang smart phones aren't so smart meant to say "a piece of mind that they will survive and not die."

All i can say is i will NEVER not run one again. When u wanna spend ur hard earned money on some really nice fish ($250-800) a piece i gives me piece of mind that they will survive and not live. You tank will be much healthier with one. I have the aquamedic 18w and honestly it doent add much if any heat because of the way the water is channelled threw it. JMO

I wouldn't use tap water, set-up RODI. You will hate yourself otherwise, JMO

where to start, not much has changed except my corals are growing like crazy. About a week and a half ago I decided to turn my skimmer off, now a week or so later I can already see some things changing. My colors especially reds and blues have improved a lot. Gonna see how things go and if need be I may turn it back on but for now its gonna stay offline. I just purchased a new camera for the wife for XMas and I will try and post some recent pics.

sorry I didn't get to fix your stand. I honestly didn't think I would have time to finish Offshores stand B4 T-Giving cause of deer season. Glad u found a person to take over. Looking good.

sweet...Well theres something else we have in common, Craft Beer drinking and playing poker. I really like a good game of Hold-em with a small buy in say $40-$60 cash game.

sorry about that, atleast there was plenty of plastic there to cut, and you wont see where u had to grind. Im sure I will be by soon to help with the rest of the tank. I can check it out then.

so was the tank to tight? It should have been close but not close enough to scrape the bottom/side. Atleast it didn't fall to the floor and welds start breaking....LOL JK. That wont happen. Looks GREAT!!!

any update? As far as the bulkheads and plumbing fittings? R U gonna try and atleast set the tank on the stand for Thanksgiving then take the casters off afterwards? LMK

Its done, satin black. Looks like powedercoat but not. Just needs the wood work done. Cant wait to see your tank setting on it, I just don't know how we are gonna lift 600lbs of tank 43" up in the air to get it on it....
