call or PM Danny V here on ARC, he has a ton of grape calupera. probly spelled it wrong but oh well. If there are no available nutrient for the chaeto to grow it wont. also lower your light to about 6" away from it.

so my 2 cents= CLOSED canopy over 500Ws defntly a chiller, OPEN canopy its pretty ez 2 get the water temp in line JMO

agreed, i used to hand dose, went to a reactor and now i dont hardly mess with it.

give them time, if they were healthy in the tank u got them from and all the above mentioned parameters are in check then they will adjust. you may even be using a diff brand of salt than the tank they came out of. TIME and patience.

ya if im correct i think i gave the cryptonite candy canes to Chad n Belinda about a year ago or so, these this grow like crazy. My colony was the size of a volleyball ( maybe a little smaller, not much) probly had 500+ heads. Glad to see there still alive and kickn. Good luck

so when i purchased my 100lbs of live rock i put it in a rubbermaid trash can for a bout a month doing water changes until the ammonia was "0". I also threw in there 2 nice HOLEY rocks to cycle them with the LR. All is good. I bought my LR off EBAY for like $315/100lbs. Then i purchased another 30lbs from Prof. So with all that and the 2 holey rocks i hv about 140lbs or LR in main tank, and 15lbs in the refugium.The 15lbs came from Shane at Fishy Business. I to have a 120g main tank.

i do give me a call. Its CaribSea ARM media small. NEW!!! If you come pick it up you can have it. i switched to a diffrnt brand and have this one left over that i didnt use.

so get a Harlequin Shrimp and the starfish will be gone, but if you have a starfish in the tank you want you should probably remove it. It will become food.

huh thats weird, My water coming into RO/DI unit is 263 and out is 0.....what is the water pressure and how many stages of filtration do you have?6,5,4,3,etc

If you know how i am(anal) about keeping things nice then this is one HE__ of a deal!!!! Pump alone is like $75+ and chiller NEW is $425ish. Repld to your PM Christian.

Hey INNATE1, FLOW FLOW FLOW>>>>Point a K2 at the area for a little while and it will go away. Then you will need to fig out away to increase the flow. I hv no cyano in display tank, but on the edges of my chaeto in sump there is some. FLOW is what its all about.

JBJ ARTICA TITANIUM CHILLER 1/10th. Says up to 130 gallon but i have friend that has one on his 185 gallon and its does fine. Purchased in Aug 2009 from Marine Depot and used to date. Chiller and pump (Tunze 1074 silent) $250.00 OBO within reason, its only 5 months old. Addding more lights and need a bigger chiller since i have a closed canopy.

i would say atleast 5"-6". incase you wanna mount a powerhead and have accesability to place them. Thats what my 120g is. JMO
