  1. I used that same rms hanging kit for both my tanks and am really pleased with them.  If you can't directly hit the joists in the attic it's really easy to nail  a 2x4 across the joists exactly where you need it.  I ended up having to do that on both mine.  There are only tiny holes in my ceiling where the wire passes up into the attic.  I used a jury-rigged plumb-bob taped to the ceiling to get the holes exactly where I wanted them.

  2. What is the width of the tank?  For my own tank which is 48"x24" I use three radion G3 pro with the new diffusers mounted like  this.  Two of the G3 did not cut it for me.  It is working well for a mix of acros, acans, chalices, favia.  This is the standard RMS hanging kit from ecotech

    Jolt,

Do you know the names of that vendor/company setup to your left (when looking at your table)?

Had a question for them on the name of a frag I bought. Thanks.

  5. Couple of thoughts:

    1) I would test with a different kit before I changed anything.  I know some of the stores will test for you, or maybe a friend has a different kit.  It's like going to get a second opinion when the doctor tells you bad news, before you decide what you're gonna do :)

    2) what brand of salt do you use?  Some of them have really high levels to start with (typically not THAT high, but still like 500);  You could have a bad batch of salt too; so it might be useful to test your fresh mixed water too
