I was in army at 18. Got out at 22 and worked in law enforcement for 10 years while going to school. Work in IT now. I work for a medical device company at present in IT. To all the vets. One of my best friends works at the workforce commission. His sole job is to place vets in positions. If you are looking for work PM me and I will get you in contact with him.

Jones brother park in Jonestown has a boat ramp that used to be $3 to launch from. Probably still closed though due to the drought. I have also seen people launch boats from the park at the end of lohmans ford Road down by point venture. I would call the PD or talk to one of the officers. They would surely know about the crime rate or areas to stay away from.

I had a flame angel in my 125 and he was the meanest fish. He would come after me if I stuck my hand in the tank. He pestered my poor clownfish almost to death. He never touched any coral though. I do agree with everyone else. A 20g is too small for an angel. I have moved coral on rocks before from San Antonio. Not as far as you are going. I put the rocks in a bucket with water and got a battery powered air pump. Worked fine.

Tank has been up for a little over 1 year. My 3x 250 mh stay on 8 hours and 4 x 80w actinics are on 12 hours. This time of year my temp is staying between 78-80. Saturday after everything looked a little stressed. I left the lights off for 24 hours and I tested water again and everything was fine. I did a 60gish water change on Sunday and everything perked back up by Monday evening. I have to guess something was wrong with my water chemistry but apparently it was something I do not test for. I test for all the normal stuff. Not sure what else I could test for.

Halides are not cracked. Alk is 8.568 dKH.

I bought a 10 g ice bucket from ace restaurant supply. Think it was $19. It fits in the stand of my 125 and has a lid. It's food grade plastic.

I did a big water change yesterday and changed my carbon out. Now just watching and waiting. Hopping it was an isolated incident.

It's a total loss. By the time I saw it was completely bleached. I should have worked from home Friday like I had planned and I might have been able I save some of it.

Temps were never higher than 80 or lower than 78.1. My anemone moved to behind the rock as soon as I put it in. From what I can see of the anenome it is fine. I wish I could coax it to the front of the rock. My wife did tell me that she saw a crab walking all over the cc in the morning. Would that do it?

It was kinda out on its own. Nitrates were close to 0 and phosphates close to 0 which are normal for my tank. I have a torch coral but it is on the other side of a 125 by itself. I follow all the best practices with my tank Only thing I have done different this week that I just thought of is I added marine sat on Sunday. I am bummed. That was the one coral that non reefers looked at and commented on.

Went to work this morning and the cc kryptonite I grew from 4 heads to about 30 was looking fine. Nothing unusual. Got home and it was almost completely bleached and flesh coming off in about 10 hours. I monitor my tank several times a day via an apex. Everything was normal. All the other corals look fine. I tested water and all parameters were within range. No spikes or anything too far off where they should be. Anyone experience this before or have any ideas? I guess I will do a big water change on my Sunday.

I have used vinegar and a syringe on aptasia successfully but never tried it with majano. I would just pull the rock out also. I just had to pull a rock out of my tank for a different reason. Think that is the safest course of action.

I have both. The alk tester is dead on. The calcium checker is dead on sometimes and off by 50ppm other. On the calcium checker I think they have an issue with their reagents.

soaking return pump in vinegar because it was all gunked up... Apparently you have to do that occasionally. Who would have thunk it.. lol
