  1. I'm right down the street from you in Gtown. Right off of Leander Rd, 1 mile West of I-35.

I have one about the size of (I'm guessing here since I'm at work) about the size of a raquet ball? $10.00

    303 River Ridge Dr. 78628

    I'll be home about 5:00-5:30

  2. I have a piece of Frogspawn (1 available)that I fragged off of the mother coral. Sorry for the poor pic quality, it's my phone camera. It's about 3" high and has 3 full heads on it. I have attached it to an oyster shell. I would like to trade for something????? other than GSP, Finger Leathers or Xenia. I'm open.....

If someone would like to purchase it, I will sell it as well for fair market value.

    Dave

ps: I'm at home tomorrow until 4pm.

  3. Difference is Don lost over 200 gallons. Big difference.

I would have no place to store 300 gallons of water for my tank/sump. So, that is far outside of a "standard" emergency. None of these RO systems will make that amount of water quickly enough.

  4. My main issue with RO is the waste of water and they generally only make ~20 gallons over a 24 hour period. Unless you have it circulating in a container already, so much for emergencies?...Whatever works best for you but, I don't feel that it's necessary.

  5. baller set up bro but i dont think itll fit my tank..

renman, would i need to run a chiller with taht setup?

Honestly, I would think in the summer, you would need a chiller but, not before then. I have two small fans built into my canopy from Radio Shack (see my blog pics) that wick away most of the heat. I have a chiller and yes, it turns on but, it is summer. By tomorrow, literally...with the change in temp, my chiller will not turn on at all until next June. I'm running 3 of the 400w ballasts and bulbs plus 4 T5's; 2 at 48" and 59w and 2 at 36" and 39w. Here is an overhead shot of my canopy as I was building it. Note the 2 fans. Canopy Build

  6. I have lots of Cheato, LR, and sand in my sump/fuge. I even have corals and sponges in there. Lots of pods on their own. What I don't have is a protein skimmer. So, everything washes over the ATS and down into the sump. What I feed the fish/inverts eventually filters through the sump.

  7. I'm the rebel here. I no longer use my RO portion of the RO/DI. I run through the DI portion only with Phosban and Carbon and straight into the mix...no issues in over a year. Those cartridges are ridiculously expensive and you waste about 10 times the water that you actually use as RO. I've learned to do so much of this hobby in a more natural way.
