ok so i am about to switch from 250w mh to 400w mh right now with my 250w mh i am running 7 straight hrs. when i switch i plan to go 5 hrs maybe 6 if i got 6 hrs mh i am going to cut my t5's back 2 hours. but i was thinking is it better to go the full 5 hours straight like 3pm to 8pm or would it be ok to split it like run 12:30pm to 3:00pm and then from 5:30pm to 8pm?

dang thats fast acting mine took a month to start working . remember to overfeed alittle because the bio pellets will strip too much nutrients out and starve your corals.

same thing happen to me my tank pulls alot of electricity since my house has alot of electronics running all the time the addition of my tank the breaker would trip once in a while. my dad thoughts it was an old breaker so we replace that one but still was happening. we decided to do a dedicaded ( hope i spelled that right) circuit for my fish tank now no more problems and got plenty of energy to spare. if you need a circuit to be ran i can ask my dad how much he will charge. pm me if you want me to find out
