I have WaterGeneral 106 from ebay, doing great... I bought it from Dec and today the TDS still 0 ppm, however need to replacement filters soon. When I was first time intro to SW and of course I am rookie, I bought all dillute water from wal-mart, and the COA trashman refused to collect all the bottles, about that time there were 80 bottles and 25 boxes... I bought it and no more trash.

Anyone have refuge in the sump? Do you have clean crews in the refuge? what the list of crew do you have in refuge. I have refuge with chateo, and about 10 lbs live rocks. Right now my refuge look so dirty and lots of detirus and little aglae on the glass. Thanks

I think about get 3/8 aryclic for tank, its only 33 to 35 gallon tank with 12 inches height tank. That is good for this without brace?

I starting puzzled that Romeo, (male ocellaris) been stay one corner near the glass tank. since three days.. Juilet, female been swimming around. I decided to check it out and saw some black dots on the glass and Romeo been shield them.. so its possible that black dots are babies? need let me know so I can shut down one powerhead and leave one powerhead to operate. That eggs are near overflow box, how I can to prevent eggs goes to overflows.. any idea? I am open to this.....

Last time I have struggled with keep maitance PH to steady, end up low PH under 8.0, know that might have CO2 issued so I added air pump into sump and one outlet to skimmer to prdouces oxygen for bubbles so far, pretty good number of PH until today I discovered that ALK is dropped to 7.7 DHK or 2.7 meg. the calcium is 390 ppm. Do I need to dose the raising carbonate to get ALK to up to 8.0 my guess? 1. I have some Coral that been grow. that I got rock from someone. I think I have 4 blue mushrrom, two already grows, two is baby. about 7 orange zoos, one is look alike green, glow during actinic, seems that green are starting grow alive. 2. that coral affect the parameter start to decreasing? the parameter is PH 8.3 to 8.4 ALK 7.7 DHK or 2.7 meg/l calcium 390

Only one lfs in south Austin is Aqua-Dome. there are 4 good lfs in North Austin. That is sad .. mostly of time I went up North Austin to buy stuffs..

I checked it out yesterday, look nice wholesales, but not really helpful with information but I know what I need. Regal is good price and sounds like reasonable prices for 48X48 3/8 arcylic and the cost is 123 dollars, not bad but Glass prices cost me 220 dollars for that sheet what I requested for quote. I decided go for Acrylic sheet for my small office tank instead of Glass. I will ask that person if can help me to cut the sheet, I already wrote the plan and cut plan, I will lose about 4 x 48 inches left.

I wonder about Regal Plastic Compnay, do they open to public? or call for appointment? I just ask because I will stop and check that place for cast acrylic tube and check the sheet for tank

GKarshens, I check the yellow page and its funny that Binswanger has two locals, one is near my place at South Lamar and Burnet. so I will check it out tomorrow at South Lamar and if not then stop by at Burnet. Other option about Acrylic, should be ok if go with 1/4 or 3/8? for this size?

The Tank looks need big job to clean and get battle with Cyano and Hair Aglae. Right now I ask something about Glass. I am thinking to have a small narrow height size for my bedroom next to my desk. I think about the size is 34 L X 18 W X 12 H, That size can fit the table. There will be inside overflow box. I think about rimless, the thick of glass should be approix about 3/8 will be strong enough for without brace? the light will be T-5 from previous tank, I getting upgrade to IC SLR and IC 660 ballast. Which the store is recommend to buy the glass sheet, I would like to have Starphire but not for our bedroom, standard glass is good. I will set up blog for my tank..

I wonder if I can use razor to scrap some green aglae that has stubborn that can't remove or top of the sand that magfloat can't reach it. I have extra blades that use for scrap anything. will not harmful the saltwater. I plan to use the razor as one timer then throw it out.

Really, will be problem for long time? I just put live Rock last two weeks ago. Best to remove right now? Will be work with pry it out with tweezer or razor knife? other way to remove it. I haven't try with aspitais control bottle yet, one thing I hate that chemical because have to pull the powerhead off for an hour to give the chemical settle down.
