Well I have been out of the hobby for 2 years due to my son being sick. He is now in remission and time to jump back in. I just purchased a house in March 2015 so didn't want to do the normal tank on a stand. So I decided to do built in shelves surround a fish tank. It is a used tank I got from my father in law. It came with a 30 gal (I think) sump not sure the brand. The built in is being built today so decided to finally start this thread

Yeah I know it spreads like crazy that is why I have away from my rock work in its own little corner. I guess I will have live with out it pulsing. Because I don't want it taking over the majority of my rock.

Just an off the wall question why do pom pom xenia pulse. I got some a while back and they are spreading and growin but the dont pulse any more. and they look alot skinnier. why is this

Well u do need water movement is you don't have anything except rock and sand just try to find some one on here near u and see if u can borrow a power head. U should be able to buy one or two pretty cheap Put those in there and with water movement the rock will be fine. Then just save up some money for all other equipment -
