My rose bubble tip anemone split on February 8th, 2010. This gallery shows the progress of the two clones' growth.

    RO/DI Systems

I have an RO/DI unit from Bulk Reef Supply. I like it a lot. It was easy to install and is very simple.

    What fish

I think clowns would be a good addition. Pink skunk clowns are good ones. I have a pair and love them.
  4. I put them both on the side panels of glass, about 5 inches from the surface of the water. They are aimed at the same angle. Each of the streams hit the top of the water about a quarter of the way in. It is making all kinds of nice random currents. The sand does drift a bit, but no sand storms.
  5. Do I sense a second tank getting setup in your living room?

    RBTA clone

It must be splitting season. Mine just split a few days ago. I'm keeping the clone though.
  7. It depends on how big your tank is. I have a Sailfin Tang and a Yellow Eye Kole Tang and they get along just fine. From what I have read it is best to get varied tangs, i.e. not all the same genus. If I remember correctly, Sailfin Tangs and Yellow Tangs are the same genus so they may fight a bit if there is not enough room in your tank.
  8. They are pretty tough. I'm sure it'll recover.
  9. Hehe. You have that huge one. I'm sure it will divide soon enough.
  10. My rose bubble tip anemone divided today. I know how two cute anemones.
  11. From what I read in Clownfishes you can mix them you just have to do it slowly. If you have a piece of egg crate or something you can corner off a section to put the maroon in for a while, then keep him there for a week or two, then after they have gotten all of the "sniffing" and "rutting" out of the way you can let them out. There is always the chance that the maroon will decide that it likes the other clowns house and eat them to get to it.
  12. It all depends on the fish really and what tank mates they have. For instance, if you have a wrasse and a hawkfish, one of them is likely to jump at some point. My hawkfish jumps from time to time but I have pretty much covered the top of my tank so nothing can jump out. In the past I have lost a flame hawkfish and two blue-green chromis to jumping.
  13. I use it to water my yard.
  14. Sweet. I'll give that a shot today.
  15. I think one of the main issues I have is the angle. I never know how up to too up. I usually have them angled at about 15 to 30º.
  16. Thanks. :-) How far down should one of them be? I was thinking of putting them in the top middle of each pane of glass.
  17. I'm expecting snail babies. Does that count?
