  1. I just got back from Cali yesterday. While I was there I visited Aqausd! Great store and great people! Anyhow I purchased an Aussie Elegance Coral and the shipping will be 50$ orrrr if anyone wants to go in on it I only need 80-100$ to get free shipping! If anyone wants to go in on it with me I can bring your end of the order to you Let me know I would like to put this order out by thursday with a delivery friday morning.
  2. Thats sucks, any sandbed dwellers or shrimps are no good for eels unless you want them to be lunch. If you go on liveaquaria there is a compatibility chart that will help you avoid troubles like these in the future.
  3. if i could find mine in the 240 i'd be all about it lol
  4. all the corals made it through the attack, along with an emerald crab, hermits, and mollies. I have other corals mostly Euphyllias in my main tank.
  5. I might take you up on that
  6. yes it looks that way
  7. Funny thats what my temp tank looked like when the cuc nuked it. Since you've tried a few things already why not remove the rock? If your leaning towards algae try killing the light and running it a few hours when you get home?
  8. I worded my original statement incorrectly. one in the morning before work and one in the evening a few hours after their mid-day feeding. I ask because I have around 14 fish at the moment and they tear it up pretty quick, well about an hour... Do you suggest only one sheet a day or less? Am I over feeding?
  9. I got mine at our local asian food store freeze dried 10"x10" and more than an inch deep for about 9 bucks. You pay more at fish stores because they know you'll pay it. I feed my pack 2 sheets a day, basicall make sure there is a sheet in there all the time.

    Nem Split!

I've had my nem for a while and I knew he was still in the growing stages for some time (6 months) today I was very worried to see him deflated and mouth wide open. I came back home to see him SPLITTING!!! so very awsome! Now I have 2 RBTA's and not a moment to soon considering the loss of my 29g due to cuc toxin bio war I feel a little relieved now but still miss my mandrin pair... I would have pictures but my phone wount transfer them out grrrr.
  11. I used half live brine half frozen for about a week after my pair wiped out all my rodi's and pods in 2 weeks. my tank had white walls with all the pods running around. preperation and patience is the key with these guys. They were paired and open swimmers and eating frozen brine right up until my cuc nuked the tank. I considered it a great accomplishment followed by a crushing loss...

    Purple Tang

About 5 inches. Looking for best reasonable offer or trades.
  14. 3yrs the back wall is the one that broke and it had a large rock that would lean up against it. That wasn't the surprise, it was that dang cuc pissing slime all over the temp tank.
  15. since it is only a temp tank and my real tank is busted at the seam I have decided to shut it all down. the only reason I was holding on to that little tank was for the mandrins
  16. I came home friday to my 29g leaking at a steady rate. I broke it down and placed them in my spare ato tank for temp. They were doing fine minus one small item I should not have placed in such a small tank. my pink cucumber. This afternoon I checked the tank and every thing was dead except the mollies, hermits and an emerald. Losses: Paired green mandrins a baby hippo tang, 4 pep shrimp, and a dresser crab. The pink cucumber was releasing white crap and looks like its got elastic bands around its body. If I didn't know better I'd say it looks like its going to split. Not to sure why the mollies took it in stride maybe they just aren't effected the same way. The zoa colonies and various corals are fine however This is crushing after all that work I put into those mandrins let alone all the others... What should I do from here?
  17. how big is it? I have a coris already does anyone know if they will fight?

    BLUE HORNET ZOAS

I've had the main colony on the left for about 6 months under 250w mh. I got it with 6 heads. They grow at about the same rate as the metalic pinks in the pict that I just fragged out. I just placed the colony back on the frag tray bacause they are very sensitive to aptasia. No melting away however.
  20. I have a plug with about a dozen heads on it asking 100$ These heads go for 20$ a peice. I've had the main colony on the left for about 6 months under 250w mh. I got it with 6 heads. 21. I had a deal hammered out and he sold the corals literally minutes later. Not telling people to setup group buys and selling out from under them. Aren't there any rules of engagement with these sales???

    aquascape

I think that is retardedly good looking. The only hold back I have is there is no place for pods and lil fellas to hide if it is concrete covered with sand. There is a place local that sells limestone which doesn't sound right at first. It's the same as live rock i.e. dead stuff turned rock with out ripping it off a reef and with out the hitch hickers. The guy was on ebay not sure if he's still on there but you get the idea. Plus you don't get butt hurt from breaking it to make the shape you want. I had a friend who lived in cali and he said they bring the live rock in to the docks by the connex (BIG METAL CRATE capable of holding 2-4 cars!) load. After hearing that I will only by out of other tanks or other means. Just don't buy it out of the ocean. It sounds dreamy but its very very destructive!
