Well to be honest I'm not sure what exact species it is.
I think it is:
They are definitely not:
Apparently, there are many different species and morphs of Xenia. I guess the best way to determine what exactly they are is to see them for yourself. Hopefully you can see them clearly, its taken on my BB so pic isn't the greatest.

I'd recommend a MP20 or MP40. Depends on what you're keeping.
Mixed tank
70% - 20% - 10% SPS/LPS/Soft

Hi, this is a bit of a dual topic thread.
First, it's time for me to thin out my Pink Xenia. It looks like I can make about 8 or so frags of various sizes. So I wanted to check if there was any interest here for Xenia frags. They would be free if you want or I would gladly accept small frags in exchange, say a couple zoanthid polyps, mushrooms, or something along those lines.
Second, well I've never fragged these suckers yet, so I have no idea how to do so. Any tips would be appreciated.
If you're interested, let me know and we can work something out.
Cheers,
ChristianR

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm upgrading to a 58 gallon 36"x18"x21 and I'm considering whether to go with Koralia Evolution powerheads or a Vortech. Not only do I like to "looK" of a wave tank, but I keep hearing how much the livestock likes it.
Do you know which Vortech you would recommend for that size tank?
Sorry, Christian I do not mean to hijack your thread, I thought it would be a good place to discuss the wave tanks, I can start a new thread if you like.

Mark, is that a Tunze Wavebox in the upper right corner?
BrooksReef, how do you like the wave-making capabilities of the Echotech? Would you recommend a Vortech powerhead?

I want to thank Mark for coordinating everything and making the deliveries, very cool. My frags are beautiful and already opened up, that usually doesn't happen for me. The fish also seem quite healthy. So far, I would definitely order from Vivid again.

Sweet, thanks.

As others mentioned, a pier and beam foundation should be OK, but you should definitely have it inspected, and if there is any deficiency, you can have the specific area shored up with extra support. It's not that difficult or expensive either.

I'll go in for a bucket of Coralife.
-
Did you get it from Shane? He has lots of experience with them, I'd give him a call.
-
Man, those are really stunning. How big do they get? I'd love to have one for my pair of percs, but I only got a 28g nano.

Ok, 12:30 p/u @ Hwy79/I-35. There is a strip mall on the left as you head east on hwy 79. I think there is an Auto Zone in there. I drive a red VW jetta.
Mark, I would like to pick up my order here at Hwy79/I-35. There is indeed an Auto Zone there at this stripmall. Meet up in front in the parking lot?

I'd grab the Candycanes if I weren't so dang far from you.

Ah, ok thanks for clearing that up, I understand now! It is indeed a very beautiful coral. I'm gonna grab it

Does this coral start out green and turn pink or vice versa?
-
Well, I'd like to go to my first meeting, even pick up a membership card. Heck i'm even about to build my own stand! But that's a whole lotta drivin for me. Can I be put down as tentative and I'll let ya know a little later.

Wow big difference... Congrats the tank looks night and day difference. I bet you are really enjoying it and feel like putting energy into it again!

Leroy, it was great to meet you today. Your blue/green mushrooms look really great and colorful in my tank under 14k phoenix. To anyone considering that red monti, just do it it looks really big and healthy in person!

That should be sufficient with two more restrictions: no diving gear (snorkel only) and hand-net only (no special traps etc). Anything more than that requires further licensing I think. Could have changed though so be sure to call Texas Parks and Wildlife.
