  1. I have brand new BRS PH probe.
  2. can I grab a small piece? lkm (address) Thanks.
  3. here are some update pictures of the babies.
  4. update: have about 10 of the babies left for sell.
  5. I'd say stability; ie. constant water temp, food supply, water change (2x daily), and low light. Also, don't spook them (e.g. stick your hand in the tank for cleaning) they start to go crazy (swimming for the lives) then some die afterward. My batch had over 700 eggs, but only about 300 hatch and now only about 70 after 4 months (results from moving them around too much).
  6. I think they will stay "burnt orange" not likely they will turn black.
  7. I have about 70 of these babies total, some are ready to go, some aren't. They vary in size from 1/2" to 1-1/2" they are all from the same batch of egg, roughly 4 months old; only selling the one that are closer to 1" and over. $10 each, 5 for $40 pictures show parents and current babies.

    clown fish

It's possible, I have 3 clownfish in my tank right now. 1 black-Osc., 1 orange-osc, 1 gold stripe. The two osc paired up the black one is female (they even have babies); the gold stripe is by itself. Although I have a 200+gal tank, they pair and the gold strip live "on the other side of the wall" from each other, I setup my rock like a wall. I only see them bickering when they see each other, other than that they are find together.
  9. interested in the garf bonsai, alien eye favia, new cut red planet, strawberry patch favia, lobo. can you post pics of favias and lobo, thanks
  10. Just Kidding! It's just cool to see how these clownfish forming a fish-ball
  11. I saw these in my tank before at night, while looking for clownfish frys. I got a bunch out and tried to raise them in separate container, feeding them with Instant Algae; they were pretty hardy creatures (no water change for few weeks). After 1-2 weeks what I saw were a few adult brine shrimp in the container; not sure if my container were contaminated with BS (sucked out from the main tank along with these shrimps) or not. I did put a few of these shrimp under the microscope, but couldn't conclude if they were mysis, peppermint, or cleaner. They do have red stripes running down their back; so I thought these might have been cleaner shrimp but after a several weeks of raising them they didn't morph to anything else. At that point i just dump the whole container into my clown fry's tank and give them a good meal.
  12. that white button is probably a "breaker"/fuse itself (most likely not those replaceable fuse), much like the one you see at the bottom of garbage disposal under your sink. The short might be from the salt water creep/residue inside the plugs.

  16. very cool invention, hopes everything goes well this time.
  17. Does anyone have some plankton and rotifers cultures? My clown pair started laying egg and I want to see if I can raise some frys. I'm kinda of curious to the color of the frys because I got a B&W and and Orange one paired up.
  18. +1 one on propeller shaft being miss aligned at one end (usually the tip). One time, I took my K4 apart, then put it back together and it stopped spinning. The problem was the tip of the propeller shaft didn't fit into that socket on the cap.
  19. I'll try to describe the settings I use on the camera as best as I could, hope it will help you. 1: set camera into macro mode. 2: turns off the flash, for me flash just bounce off the glass and give glares in the picture. 3: enter "function set" mode and change to manual mode. 4: initially set exposure to 0 (middle), you can change these up or down base on how well lit the object is. 5: set the white balance option to "evaluate white balance", this way you can press the "menu" button and it'll auto adjust the white balancing. 6: "my colors off" 7: for the focus mode leave in "evaluative", you can to switch these around to get the right focusing mode for different pictures. Also, I find that taking pictures at night under your MH lighting helps a lot, give you clearer pictures. In the day light from windows makes the picture not as vibrant, possibly due to reflection from glass. Sometimes the auto focus feature will focus at different spots around the object you're trying to take a picture of, so you'll have to change the angle, position of the camera so that the auto focus feature focuses on the right object. Sometimes adjusting the "focusing mode" (evaluative, center weighted, etc) will help too. Also, I have my picture size set as "M1" 2272x1704, not sure if this option makes a different in picture clarity. Hope this helps, If something is not clear, ask me. One more thing, the lens on these camera take good macro pictures when the object is less 6" away from the lens. Anything further away, it's hard to take good pictures.
  20. interesting; I saw my nass on the glass slithering around and there were several of those egg pouches behind that nass, almost like a trail. 30mins later I checked on that nass again and saw new egg pouches; thus, I came to the conclusion it was nass eggs. I didn't catch the nass in the act of laying those eggs like you did though...
