  1. I certainly hope that by one year from now, I'd finally be in a position to use it We have eventual floor repairs and foundation repairs that will both require the tank to move into another room, or possibly out of the house entirely. The thought of moving it multiple times is quite daunting, and I'd rather just buy another tank when I'm finally in a position to set one up. I can't stand the idea of cracking or chipping it while simply moving it around for the repairs to take place. Thanks, I emailed you. I have been self employed doing tile and wood for the past 16 years. If you are going to be putting back either, I would be willing to talk about some kind of deal for your setup. Let me know if interested.
  2. He is really easy, so far. Ive had him for about 4 months. I feed once a day or every other day. I also offer algae a couple of times a week.
  3. Thank you and yes it is. A few more...
  4. Its been a while since I have updated so I figured I would. I have just been on cruise control with this tank. Havent done a water change or anything to it really in about 4 months. Other than having to clean the glass about once a week and dump in a little 2 part every now and then for the SPS, it is pretty self sufficient. Here are a few pics, I will post more later.
  5. I used webs.com for my site. Before I got started I had never tried to build a site in my life. It is a simple drag and drop for what you want on each page. I built this site partytimebooths.com without any experience at all
  6. Very cool rock although you will not be able to keep the side glass clean with it up against it like that. Nice start though!!!
  7. The sump is awesome. Plenty of sections for everything!!! Are the cinder blocks temporary or permanent?
  8. Looks like I wouldn't be shopping there any more. Sorry about the loss of your fish. People think I am crazy for how attached I am to my fish. They are my babies.
  9. No offense but I would cut that apart, clean it up, and start over. Did you even finger the silicone? I think you used way too much, I have never seen that much on any tank from a manufacturer.
  10. Full system bids is what the OP requested. Didn't know you became a mod or thread police???
  11. That's cool. In 3 weeks I'm going for 10 days. It will be my 6th time on the island. I have found some pretty awesome "hidden gem" snorkeling sites. Where were you snorkeling?
  12. Cool. Maybe I will order then. Has anyone ordered fish from them?
  13. Has anyone actually ordered from reefs2go? I know they are a sponsor and all but I never placed my order because after searching a little bit, i found that they have terrible reviews on every site I have seen. I wanted to order some things from them but after reading about 100 negative reviews I decided not to. Not trying to talk negatively about a sponsor but feel like members should be informed of all good and bad about anything.
  14. Pm don duncan. He probably has anything sps you are looking for.
  15. Maybe i will buy your 190, sell ausvdub my 110 and you can buy your 300+. Win win for everyone.
  16. I have had MANY tanks and sizes over the past 8-10 years with 55 gallon being the biggest until recently. About 7 months ago I upgraded from a 20 gallon I had for about a year to a 110. It was the best decision I ever made in this hobby. I COULD/WOULD never downsize again. I love the options with a larger tank not to mention the ease of maintaining good water quality.
  17. I have been wondering this myself. Didn't really fully understand the original post.
  18. Filters should be cross compatible. Bulk Reef Supply usually has good tutorials.
  19. I am thinking about ordering a few things from reefs 2 go and was wondering if anyone wanted to tag along to get the 10% off for a group order? I am ordering enough myself for the free shipping. I live around the Temple area so if you live around the area and want to order anything, let me know. I'm going to order Sunday.
  20. I thought NPS were corals, not inverts?
  21. Biocubes are glass: http://www.oceanicsystems.com/products/biocube.php
  22. Well, my career path isn't as interesting as most posting but I will share. I started out helping my step dad do tile work during summer breaks from school when I was about 12, I am 33 now. I helped every summer until I graduated high school. From there I went to college for a couple of semesters but it just wasn't for me. So I went into doing tile work full time. I worked for my dad for many years and got tired of seeing him bring home $5-6K a week when I was doing all of the work. I wanted to become partners with him but he wouldnt pay me more than $12 a hour so about 10 years ago decided to start working for myself. It was the best decision of my life. Most of my business is custom tile work in higher end homes but I do work in homes of all price ranges. Luckily around the Salado/Belton area, building is still going strong so I really haven't slowed down at all with all of the recession mess.
  23. I'm guessing you are talking about Shane. He is really set in his own ways and everyone else is wrong in his opinion. Although he has a really nice store, I don't even go in there any more due to his attitude towards anyone who doesn't share his point of views.
  24. Just charge $3 a piece for a bag and the saltwater they are in and give the shrimp for free. Bags and salt aren't free so you are just covering your expenses.
