  1. How about a small piece of the yellow/red favia you have? No money needed, I put in the ad trade a frag for the RO/DI and Litermeter. Lee
  2. Hey all, I have a Spectrapure CSP RO/DI unit with pressure gauge but NO filters (DI, Carbon, or Sediment) or RO membrane. I also removed the flow restrictor as I was planning on increasing the output capability. I figured this would be great for someone who wants to get started with their own RO/DI water. I am only looking for a frag in exchange, but if you don't have that no problems. It is still yours. I do have some extra 1/4 tubing you can have as well. You can check out spectrapure's website for more information on their membranes and filters. I also have an original Spectrapure Litermeter body only (have no idea where power supply got to). It is free to whoever wants it. I live in Georgetown. Lee
  3. I would like the Pumpkin zoo's, rugosa and maybe 15 to 20 lbs of live rock. What is your paypal? Lee
  4. Ok, I think I am figuring it out. I was making adjustments way to big with the valves instead of tweaking and fine tuning. I will post any further questions I might have. Lee
  5. Hey, anyone in the Georgetown area or Round Rock area good at plumbing? I have a little too much noise from drain and some bubbles n return. I have never used a sump before and could use some help. email me at [email protected] or call 512.869.5792 Thanks, Lee
  6. Well, I bought a used one for a great price. Plugged it in and it is producing bubbles up into the collection chamber at a ridiculous rate. I went to the website and downloaded an owner's manual. I have the rubber gasket set as low as possible so as to maximize the bubble column. After reading the manual, I did realize the microbubbles in the tank is normal for a few weeks during break-in. It does have the optional drain plug which I have going to a container, but it will be filling certainly within a day at this rate. Is this normal for a new one? Thanks, Lee
  7. Wow, two offers from people who don't even live in Georgetown!!! I hate the thought of someone having to drive so far to take care of my tanks. I have a friend who lives close (just not a reefer). Let me check with him before I have someone drive in from out of town. What an awesome group to get so much offers from out of town!!! Lee
  8. Judith, Thanks and have a safe Christmas!! Will definitely keep you in mind for future trips. Lee
  9. Is there anyone in the Georgetown area who can watch, add top-off water, keep an eye on my tank from Dec. 25th - 29th? There are a couple of frags in the deal for sure!! I live in Georgetown Village. Lee Hoy Georgetown
  10. Man, if we got GreenMako coming to Austin from SA we will have be fortunate!!! Great to have you. Lee
  11. Well, I thought I would share some photos of my favorite tank. It is a venomous only (for fishes) tank. It is a 20L with some zoa's, a flower anemone, a green Sinularia, and a few other corals. Good clean up crew and the look is a rubble filled tank and sandy bottom to try and represent where these guys stay. Here are the fish inhabitants: 1.) Longspine Waspfish 2.) Ambon Scorpionfish 3.) Leaffish Some photos: Will add some more photos later. P.S. - Anyone recognize the Montipora and Xenia frags? Both are doing great although the Xenia was closed up for the photo. I will hopefully have some Sinularia frags at a meeting to come. Lee
  12. Generally, you can take what you paid and start at 50%. Unfortunately, that is the case with systems. You can always do better by parting the system out. Lee
  13. I see you found the club. Welcome. Lee
  14. Forgot to mentiont that Carlos has a smaller yellow one at River City Aquatics. Lee
  15. Actually, I have had the yellow for a while. Just decided to change avatars. Here are a few more: I am still looking for a black, red, or blue one. Lee
  16. Sounds awesome, I would buy a ticket. Lee
  17. It was a pleasure meeting everyone. The frags are awesome. Thanks to Kingfish Aquariums, Steven, and the others who brought frags. Thanks to Joe for the food and opening your home. I can't wait until the day I can host a meeting. Lee
  18. Is it just me or does it seem impossible to "truly" create live rock that has never been in the ocean? I have been reading Anthony Calfo's book "Invertebrates" and I just don't see how something we make can ever really replicate what is made naturally? Now, having said that, I'm not against the idea, just curious I guess. Of course, when you see some of the "live" rock at some LFS that looks as base as all get out for $6.00 a pound making it sounds pretty reasonable. Just thinking. Lee
