+mcallahan
My electric blue clam seems to be gaping pretty bad to me. Usually his slit isn't open this much, esp. compared to my other clam. Does the below seem abnormal to you?
innate1
The last one I had that looked like that went on to that great reef tank in the sky. But hey I'm sure yours will be fine.
+mcallahan
Hm. I think I remember it doing this once before and then recovering. I hope so, I love that clam.

Robb in Austin
Mine does that every now and then. Does it still retract quickly when the light is obstructed?
JamesL
Tagging along to see what people have to say, seeing as I am a new clam papa.
Reybeast
Great article, but keep an eye on it, I had a clam go south once, the toxins it released wiped out alot of stuff, and it made the house smell horrible! But like someone's signature said, only bad things happen fast. Dont over react and start changing everything to fix it.
+mcallahan
Mine does that every now and then. Does it still retract quickly when the light is obstructed? Yes. I think its just mad b/c I did 3 days of darkness. I'll keep an eye on it as I increase my light cycle again.
