Robb in Austin
Some babies on one of my Astrea. Are they baby ceriths, I have 3 or 4, baby astreas, or the dreaded pryamidellids? I saw some about 2 weeks ago, riding shotgun again, freaked out that they were pryamidellids, and plucked and flushed em. Ideas? TIA, Robb
Rjohn
Why dreaded?
cmanning
They look like pyramillid snails. If you're not sure, IMO, I would not take any chances..... do you have clams in your tank and do you have any wrasse that will help eradicate these pests. http://www.reefland.com/rho/2006/05/identi...llid_snails.php
Robb in Austin
Ric, They are dreaded because they will kill clams. cmanning, Yes to both. A 6 line is my snail assassin. I don't see any on either of my clams though.
cmanning
That's a good thing you got the wrasse. I think eventually the wrasse will get to any pests. I've notice mine use to be diligent about checking the clams...... and for awhile we had those snails but they began to disappear. If the wrasse looks like picking on your other snails, it might just be clean house.
