subsea
I have three different red macro-algae. Two are decorative and one is ediable for fish and people. Gracilaria parvispora was purchased from Indo Pacific Sea Farms in Hawaii. So called "Tang Heaven Red". The Hawaiians consider it a delicacy and use it in many dishes. I have a pilot 55G tank set up in my greenhouse. The two decorative red macro-algaes are Batryocladia sp, commonly called Red Grape Caulerpa, and a low growing thick maroon macroalgae, I just call it red kelp on rock. I am actually quite low on these seaweeds due to giving much away when I parted out two large (4' X 8' X 1' high) propagation troughs. I was using the macro and coral as a teaser to be able to sell my tanks. I am moving to SW Austin this month and would be better able to take stock of what I have once I have moved.
