Cuber54
Trying to identify this and if this is something I need to get rid of- if so I will have to propagate the hairy mushrooms I have onto another rock- the black stuff hasn't been affecting the mushrooms on the rock but I know it's been growing- it feels like rubbery. If I need to get this out of my tank - how hard is it to propagate the hairy mushrooms- I would hate to loose them because they are fairly large. +o0zarkawater
Black sponge indeed. Beneficial! I've actually never seen it grow that big, especially out on the sandbed like that. I usually just get smaller ones, on the backsides of rock in the scape.
mFrame
+1, perfectly fine, leave it. I've noticed mine ebb and flow over the course of the year size-wise.
