Timfish
To bad the Nassau Groupers have been badly overfished! We may never had a problem to begin with.
Sascha D.
Very interesting. That lion was fully extended from the beginning! I wonder why the grouper waited so long and if going to the surface was some sort of defensive maneuver by the lion.
Timfish
That was definitely a defensive attempt on the part of the lion to get to the surface. I knew of one in a 500 gallon system with about an 16" miniatus grouper and the lion always stayed upside down with it's belly at the surface with it's dorsal spines splayed so the miniatus grouper couldn't get to it. Ken Pederson mentioned last year at C4 that red snappers have been see eating lionfish.
Dan H
That's good to see they might be starting to eat those suckers. Really cool video.
