Clownfish eggs

So my Maroon clownfish have started laying eggs. I have read that the eggs change color and become reflective on the day that they should hatch during lights out. When the eggs are initially laid are they orange in color? This will be the 2nd batch of eggs that I have noticed.

I'm not sure about maroon but when my Ocellaris laid eggs it was orange then turn sliver before they hatch.

Yes, usually bright when laid, then change to transparent/gray as they mature. You can actually start to see the fry eyes as they mature in the egg.

so looks like my maroon clownfish have been busy - I saw some really small baby clownfish swimming around. Not sure how old they are.

Nice! See if you can separate them from the rest of the tank, otherwise they'll become a snack for somebody.

Congrats. Are you planning on raising them?

My black Ocellaris pair have been laying eggs too and I was able to save a few. Got a foursome that's about 1.5 months old and a fivesome that's a month old.

If you end up attempting to raise them, I got a small culture of rotifiers going if you want to start your own for the larva.
