It's basically a giant hood and I'm concerned about humidity and the smell of the ocean building up an offending the wife. I've used a bathroom vent in the past in a similar build but it corroded after a year and started putting out stray voltage. Any thoughts on something that will stand up better? Bluemoon Posted June 18, 2014 Share Posted June 18, 2014 how big is the hood? what abut just a regular plastic fan from walmart that you can mount in with screws and, throw out and replace if it gets nasty.... 20-30$ a year doesn't seem to bad for pretty solid cooling/venting to me.
