ramsey Posted February 24, 2014 Share Posted February 24, 2014 I have a purple stag that I added to the tank months ago and it hasn't grown at all. Other SPS have exploded but this one just doesn't grow and never shows polyp extension. Any recommendations? I thought about fragging it and see it that wakes it from it coma or try moving it around. Planeden Posted February 24, 2014 Share Posted February 24, 2014 I'd try moving it, but I'm also kinda an idiot. Of course, my trouble shooting at this stage is 1. Move around, 2. Water change, 3. Timfish Posted February 24, 2014 Share Posted February 24, 2014 If possible I would try to find out what conditions it was grown under. If the majority of your other corals are doing well that indicates your water quality is good especially if some of them went in at the same time but don't hesistate to run tests or do a water change. Not knowing the conditions it was grown under moving it around may help. Keep in mind it can take corals a long time, as in months, to acclimate and moving it around to much can be a source of additional stress for it.
