subsea
Lorien, Consider not using a heater. If the tank is in a conditioned air space, it should not need heat. If it has a canopy with a light, it will have all the heat that it needs. Patrick
Lorien
Thanks Patrick. I will set them up and test them before I get heaters, unless the price is right. I think the fish they want first are on the cooler end of tropical too.
subsea
I have never had fish die from too cold. I have had heaters fail and cook everything in the tank.
Lorien
I am a bit worried that I might need heat occasionally in winter. My significant other frowns on 68 degrees for the house temp. Pfft, he doesn't get the fish thing. LOL! How can you tell if a fish is too cold?
