Wade
I noticed this little guy on the glass of my QT today. Must of come in on one of the frags I got at the frag swap on Saturday. It's maybe a 1/4" - 3/8" in diameter. Is this a good star or a bad star or is it too soon to tell?

jestep
Good guide to hitchhikers. http://www.chucksaddiction.com/hitchhikers.html From what I've read on them there's multiple subspecies so more than likely some of those might be predatory or it could be a case of misidentification as there's several others that look similar as juveniles. I probably have a hundred or more and have never had any problems.
Wade
I think for now I'll leave it be in the QT and let it clean and breed all it wants in there. Probably a good addition since I have plenty of algae on the glass atm. Reefkeeping Magazine had a good article on them here http://www.reefkeeping.com/joomla/index.php/current-issue/article/45-reefkeeping-101- which I found after you all lD'd it for me. Should be interesting to see how many it turns into and how fast it happens:) As always, thanks for the info!

+o0zarkawater
Just watch him. I am one of the people who remove them on sight. I know the ones I had in my tank were eating zoas.
