rockstarwiggle Posted May 31, 2013 Share Posted May 31, 2013 I am looking to replace the stock pump on a 30 gallon nuvo tank. The gph is rated at 317. Suggestions on a quieter and equivalent rated return pump. The pump has rattled since day 1 and I have read that the stock pump could be a bit noisy. I'm thinking of a Rio plus 1100? Juiceman Posted May 31, 2013 Share Posted May 31, 2013 I have always used mag pumps, so a mag 5 or mag 7 would be great. I use a mag 3 on my 20L setup. They can also be a bit noisy at startup.
