mbrown Posted May 12, 2013 Share Posted May 12, 2013 Okay so modded my overflow box a little to make more of a Wet dry setup 1. Flows in to bio balls/ Wet dry setup 2. then to skimmer 3. The refrugium which is 3 part Setup live sand cheato live rock, reef mud 3 . 3rd Chamber of the sump , reactor with GFO Then back to my tank . Robb in Austin Posted May 12, 2013 Share Posted May 12, 2013 I'd ditch the bioballs as they function as nitrate factory. Replace them with filter socks or more rock. Although, if you add light over them you might turn them into an turf algae scrubber type setup. Otherwise, no; not too much filtration. Which I don't think is possible.
