Senior Software Engineer:

Position Description:
Intific is looking for a System Architect to help lead a new scalable data processing system for our customers. This system will use cutting edge technologies and methodologies to create a turnkey system for large scale virtual environment generation. This position will be responsible for the design and implementation of a multi-platform large scale data store and processing framework for a variety of data types.

Responsibilities
• Participate in sprint planning, technical design, and architecture discussions.
• Independently implement, debug, and document isolated systems.
• Implement, debug, and document complex systems with light supervision.
• Review and provide feedback on Technical Design Documents.

Requirements
• Experience in the design and implementation of multi-tiered systems.
• Experience with database design and implementation, including MySQL, SQL.
• Experience with existing and future “big data” technologies such as RDF, NoSQL, and Semantic Web development.
• Ability to create design documents, technical documentation, using UML and software flow diagrams.
• Minimum 7 years professional software development experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in an engineering lead role.
• BS in Computer Science (or equivalent).
• Full Product Life-cycle experience.
• Applicant must be able to relocate to Austin, TX.
• Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Applicant must be able to gain a security clearance, if needed

Preferred:
• Experience with GIS data formats and sources.
• Experience working with user facing tool engineers.


Software Engineer:

Responsibilities:
• Complete coding tasks necessary to create algorithms, tools, simulations, and associated technologies in accordance with Intific’s mission.
• Apply fundamentals of software engineering to assist in the creation of new software technologies.
• Work independently to design, implement, and debug complete systems.
• Provide assistance to team members to complete tasks on time.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience).
• Strong knowledge of C++, C#, Java and/or Python and solid software engineering knowledge.
• Experience working (and thriving) with software development teams.
• Applicant must be able to relocate to Austin.
• Applicant must have a U.S. Citizenship.
• Applicant must be able to gain security clearance, if necessary.

Recommended:
• Experience developing and shipping entertainment and/or serious games.
• Experience developing internal tools and scripts
• Server Administration experience.
• Experience with source control tools and configuration management

Senior User Experience Designer:

Job Description
Intific, Inc. is seeking a Senior User Experience Designer who will be responsible for creating great human–computer interaction. This designer will work primarily with navigation structures and interface functions to create the best possible consumer experience. In this position you will also design product experiences for optimal effectiveness, inclusion of easily navigable content, graphic design and finishing the product for maximum aesthetic appeal and usability.

Responsibilities:
• Ability to conceive and champion user experience design ideas from creation to final implementation.
• Define innovative user interfaces and interaction styles which result in improved user productivity and usability.
• Ability to guide multiple projects with various differentiating user experience needs.
• Develop, maintain and conceptualize both design documentation and visual assets to guide other members of the development team.
• Ability to clearly communicate and collaborate with other departments and team members to clearly explain and answer questions about the user experience design of the project and help test and implement these designs.

Senior Producer:

Responsibilities
• Drive a large complex software project through sequential releases to meet aggressive company and customer goals.
• Maintain budgets, schedules, and periodic reports for both internal and external consumption.
• Mentor and train a production staff consisting of producers and associate producers.
• Work with Contracts Admin and Legal to ensure contracts are executed and followed in accordance with government procurement law.
• Work with Government and Military stakeholders to define achievable goals that meet their end user needs.
• Direct/delegate tasks to production staff to achieve project and company goals.
• Maintain strong working relationships with government sponsors and end user customers.
• Work closely with individuals on the team to understand progress relative to desired end goals with measurable checkpoints.
• Aid in communicating status with initiatives with various levels of clients.
• Enable programming staff to have the most impact in achieving clear technical goals and supporting needs in that pursuit.

Requirements:
• Experience as a Sr. Producer or Project Manager on at least one full software lifecycle in a high tech, sensor, simulation or game development environment.
• 8+ years of industry experience.
• Shipped at least 5 products in a producer or higher role.
• Prior hands-on programming background to understand and scrutinize tasking and goals for programmers, strongly preferred.
• Knowledgeable in Agile methodologies and processes.
• Proven track record of scheduling with MS Project, Jira, or similar task tracking software through regular contact with the resources.
• Proven ability to adapt work methodologies to conform to current company processes, while proactively working to identify and implement positive improvements.
• Proven ability to form strategic partnerships with key company leaders/stakeholders to influence and drive process in beneficial directions.
• Proven ability to quickly identify project risks and determine mitigations and contingencies.
• Proven ability to motivate teams to producer desired results under difficult schedules and budget conditions.
• Versatility and readiness to tackle new challenges.
• Superior skills in reading people.
• Strong ability to understand the intent without getting lost in distracting details.
• Experience communicating and controlling the distribution of sensitive information between various groups on different levels of “need to know.”
• Ability to contribute knowledge about external software production practice changes and industry advancements.
• Knowledgeable in at least one technical discipline and a desire to stay current with forward looking trends in that field.
• BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aeronautical Engineering, strongly preferred.

Quality Assurance Tester

Responsibilities:

  • Work in a team with other testers as directed by the QA Manager.
  • Create and execute test plans for multiple projects.
  • Creative testing that goes beyond the scope of a written test plan.
  • Ad hoc testing as well as scrum support testing.
  • Help facilitate team communication and ensure timely dissemination of information by communicating directly with developers.
  • Help update and monitor JIRA databases for various projects.
  • Find, investigate, and report bugs across multiple projects.
  • Create and manage tasks in various databases.
  • Assist in maintaining positive team morale and a productive work environment.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of QA experience with Web Based Testing or Web Application Testing is required.
  • Passion for games and simulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving ability.
  • Must excel at working in a team environment.
  • Strong initiative with a desire to learn and be challenged.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook, as well as JIRA or other bug and issue tracking software.
  • Proficiency with PC hardware and Windows Operating Systems.
  • Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment a plus.
  • Military Experience a plus.

This position is an hourly, non-exempt position that pays $14-20 (Depending on relevant experience and qualifications) per hour and does not include PTO or benefits.
