nanoreefer11
I have a RKL and I'm looking to add a net module. Currently I have an older imac I use as essentially a really expensive router and in the mac itself there's an option to share the ethernet connection with a device connected into the mac. Is it possible to use this to allow internet connectivity with the RKL or no? Secondly, if not, what's a good, cheap, mac compatible router that also works for the RKL. esacjack
Honestly, your best bet security wise is to use a router like the linksys. Anything that supports PAT/NAT (Port forwarding/Address forwarding) will work. So your configuration would be something like this.. *RKL* -> *ROUTER* -> *INTERNET* and you could plug your mac into one of the ethernet ports or wireless. Be sure client isolation is disabled and SPI is disabled as well. (if those options are present). You can make your current setup work, but you'll need to understand a little about the ipfwadm and ip route command. Let me know what direction you decide to take, and I can help get you up and running.
nanoreefer11
For now, I'm going to try and use my current setup. I'm in an apartment and my signal doesn't reach anywhere near the outside of my apt. When I get my net module I'll hit you up if I have any issues, thanks!
