Bill B
We flashed down to Port A this past weekend. Along with the seaweed that came in with the tide, there was some long ribbony brite yellow 'stuff', a little briter than yield signs. I have seen gorgonian about this color. On first glance it reminded me of the streamers that used to put on bicycle handle bar grips except not as wide. Most were around 12-18" pretty much flat and possibly 1/8" wide. Firm texture. Frankly I could have believed they actually were sea aged plastic except at the base of the couple of pieces I picked up they seemed to be organically bound to 'nodules'. Sorry, I'm sure a picture would help but I was 1) parked on the beach with no beach pass 2) without a fishing license 3) without any recepticles to bring some back and 4) more strollin' than collectin'. Any ideas? TIA Bill
Timfish
Yeah, it was probably a gorgonian like you suspect. Try looking up pictures for "Sea Whips"
